In line with the Party's viewpoint on consolidating and developing the collective economy , the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee have focused on leading and directing efforts to enhance the core role of cooperatives through the issuance of support policies, such as: the Project on the Development of the Collective Economy and Cooperatives in the Province, giai đoạn 2021-2025; Resolution No. 04 of the Provincial People's Council on some policies to support the development of the collective economy in the province…
This includes focusing on supporting human resource training and development; supporting trade promotion and market expansion; supporting access to credit; and supporting capacity building…
Through supportive policies, some cooperatives, after transformation or new establishment, have boldly invested in and applied scientific and technological advancements in production, increasing the quality and value of their products and meeting market demands. Examples include: Tuoi Tre Construction Materials Cooperative (Vinh Yen), Nhan Ly Agricultural Services Cooperative (Binh Xuyen), Tam Dao Mushroom Cooperative (Tam Dao), and Van Hoi Xanh Safe Vegetable Cooperative (Tam Duong)...
In accordance with Decision No. 167 of the Prime Minister approving the Project "Selection, improvement, and replication of effective new-style cooperative models in localities nationwide in the period 2021 - 2025", the Department of Finance, in coordination with other departments, sectors, and localities, selected 5 eligible cooperatives to participate in the Project, including: Tam Dao Dairy Cattle Breeding Cooperative; Dai Lai Agricultural Cooperative (Phuc Yen), Nhan Ly Agricultural Service Cooperative (Binh Xuyen)...
Under the project, cooperatives receive support from various policies such as: support for capacity building and awareness raising in the cooperative economic sector, support for investment in infrastructure and product processing… Over two years (2023 - 2024), the province allocated nearly 1.2 billion VND to support monthly salary costs for young workers employed in some cooperatives in the area.
To date, the province has more than 730 cooperatives, including 402 agricultural cooperatives, 63 industrial and handicraft cooperatives, 15 construction cooperatives, 123 trade and service cooperatives, and 19 transportation cooperatives...
Average revenue reached 1.6 billion VND/cooperative/year; average profit was nearly 260 million VND/cooperative/year, creating jobs for more than 38,500 people, and the average income of workers reached nearly 70 million VND/person/year…
A "bright spot" in the cooperative economic movement is the Tam Dao Mushroom Cooperative in Hop Chau town (Tam Dao district), with many products researched and processed from cordyceps that meet high quality standards, such as: cordyceps drink, cordyceps nano-cordymilk, cordyceps extract... which are trusted, accepted, and highly appreciated by customers. Many of these products have been recognized as OCOP 3-star and 4-star certified.
Nguyen Quoc Huy, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of Tam Dao Mushroom Cooperative (Tam Dao), shared: The cooperative's development orientation is closely linked to the value chain, from production to consumption. Instead of traditional business methods, the cooperative's leadership focuses on exploiting the strengths of the Internet by promoting communication on 6 fanpages on the Facebook social media platform and the website under its management, attracting thousands of followers and interactions.
In addition, we regularly coordinate with departments and agencies to organize training courses on marketing management, sales, market research, and supply chain management for our members and employees. We strengthen linkages with businesses and organizations, gradually expanding markets and raw material sources; investing in equipment and machinery... to create new products that meet consumer needs and further solidify our reputation and position in the market.
Under the flexible management of the Board of Directors, Tam Dao Mushroom Cooperative has achieved many proud accomplishments such as: Certification as a Golden Brand of Vietnamese Agriculture, certification as a typical rural industrial product in the Northern region in 2024; ranking among the Top 100 outstanding cooperatives nationwide, and being honored and awarded the "Cooperative Star - CoopStar Awards 2025"...
In 2024 alone, the cooperative achieved revenue of nearly 2 billion VND, creating jobs for more than 30 workers with an average income of 5-8 million VND/person/month and attracting over 10,000 visitors to tour and experience OCOP products.
The establishment and development of new-style cooperatives has demonstrated a shift in production thinking, creating stable jobs for many workers in localities throughout the province. Based on this, provincial departments and agencies will continue to research and propose effective policies to support land, credit, investment promotion, and trade.
The Provincial Cooperative Union will continue to lead and coordinate with the People's Committees of districts and cities to develop and propose plans for replicating effective new-style cooperative models in the 2026-2030 period. It will focus on guiding cooperatives on administrative procedures to benefit from support policies under Resolution No. 04 of the Provincial People's Council. It will also promote trade promotion and market development; creating conditions for cooperatives to access capital, science, and technology.
In addition, cooperatives also need to invest in developing and improving infrastructure serving production and business, and proactively restructure products in line with the potential and advantages of each region and locality. This will help to maximize the effectiveness and advantages of the new cooperative model, and strengthen the cooperative and collective economic sector of the province.
