Previously, patient NKL (41 years old, living in Soc Trang City) suffered a traffic accident with traumatic brain injury, broken left kneecap, and fractured lower end of right radius bone. His family took him to Military Hospital 121.
Here, through brain MRI, doctors discovered that the patient had a large crescent brain tumor in the frontal parietal region of the right hemisphere with a diameter of more than 8 cm. If this large tumor is not released in time, it will be very dangerous, even life-threatening.

Dr. Le Van Cong, Head of the Department of Neurosurgery, Military Hospital 121, and his colleagues performed open surgery for about 3 hours using the method of removing the tumor under a microscope to completely remove the tumor, successfully treating the patient.

According to Dr. Cong, before performing this surgery, bad situations that could happen such as heavy blood loss (which can easily lead to death) due to the tumor sticking to the sagittal sinus, careless dissection will cause limb weakness. If the tumor is not treated promptly and properly, it will cause the patient to have severe headaches, leading to coma and even rapid death.
Currently, the patient's health is stable, his head no longer aches, and his limbs move almost normally.
