Many 'five-of-a-kind' license plates will appear in the first auction on August 22

On the evening of August 18, a representative of the Traffic Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) said that preparations for the online car license plate auction have been basically completed. It is expected that on August 22, the first online car license plate auction will be officially held.

According to the Traffic Police Department, in the auction on August 22, there will be 11 "extremely beautiful" car license plates including four-of-a-kind, five-of-a-kind, and progressive license plates put up for auction this time.

Notably, the list includes many five-digit license plates such as: 98A-666.66 ( Bac Giang ), 19A-555.55 (Phu Tho), 36A-999.99 (Thanh Hoa), 30K-555.55 (Hanoi) and 51K-888.88 (HCMC).

The remaining license plates in the first auction include: 43A-799.999 (Da Nang), 47A-599.99 (Dak Lak), 65A-399.99 (Can Tho), 15K-188.88 (Hai Phong), 30K-56789 ( Hanoi ) and 15K-188.88 (Hai Phong).

List of car license plates to be auctioned on August 22, 2023.

According to the representative of the Traffic Police Department, the time to register, submit documents, and pay deposits must be before 0:00 on August 19. The auction time will be 60 minutes/1 car license plate.

People will participate in the auction at the website: https://vpa.com.vn (customers choose the "Car license plate auction" section, log in to their account, go to "Auction room" and access the auction to participate in bidding).

Auction time will be announced on the online auction information page and via SMS and email to eligible bidders.

After choosing a car license plate, the auction participant will pay a registration fee of 100,000 VND and a deposit of 40 million VND.

Previously, the Traffic Police Department in coordination with the Joint Stock Auction Company publicly posted a list of more than 153,000 car license plates to be auctioned in the first session.

The license plates will be posted for a month from July 15 to August 15 for people to choose from. Among these, there are many license plates that are considered beautiful, such as five-of-a-kind license plates, progressive license plates...

There are four license plate ranges of four types of cars up for auction: cars, buses, trucks and vans.

The auction of car license plates is carried out entirely online, the operations are as follows:
Step 1: Register an account to conduct car license plate auction
People who want to participate in the auction need to access the online auction information page at: https://dgbs.vpa.com.vn. Then, click on the "Register" section in the upper right corner of the screen to register an account.
After successfully registering an account, accessing the account, people can refer to instructions on how to use the account, list of car license plates, how to bid and other content on the online auction information page.
Step 2: Choose the appropriate license plate
After logging into their account, people can choose car license plates according to the options on the online auction information page such as: Province, city, vehicle type or any number series according to their preferences.
Step 3: Deposit money
After selecting the car license plate, the auction participant clicks on the "Register for auction" section next to the car license plate; proceeds to pay the application fee of 100,000 VND and a deposit of 40 million VND into the account of the property auction organization (account number 1410999999999, Agribank - My Dinh branch).
After that, the auction participant will be given an auction participation code and information about the auction of the car license plate number they have chosen.
Step 4: Conduct car license plate auction
Auction participants access the online auction information page with their access account and carry out the auction procedure according to the auction regulations.
Auction participants can register to bid for car license plates from all provinces and cities nationwide.
In addition, auction participants will be refunded their deposit within 3 working days from the end date of the online auction if they do not win the auction and are not in a case where they are not entitled to a refund of the deposit; they may refuse to participate in the auction and receive a refund of the deposit in case of changes in the starting price, quantity, or quality of the listed or publicly announced assets.
