(CLO) On the afternoon of October 30, 2024, in Hanoi , the Organizing Committee of the Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2024 held a press conference to introduce information about the content of the activities taking place at the Festival.
Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2024 under the direction of Hanoi People's Committee - Vietnam Association of Architects, organized by the Department of Culture and Sports , Architecture Magazine, with the accompaniment and coordination of the UNESCO Office in Hanoi.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Tran Thi Van Anh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, said that entering its 4th year, the Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2024 with the theme "Creative Crossroads" will take place from November 9 to 17, 2024, continuing to focus on 3 main pillars: Design, Community and Creativity.

“For the first time, the “Creative Crossroads” will be piloted along 7 typical historical heritage works of Hanoi with more than 100 vibrant creative activities in 12 cultural industry fields, typically architecture, design, fine arts, performance, cinema, advertising,...
The creative intersection is not only a pilot route for the city's future creative economy , but also a place to demonstrate the city's creative potential, contributing to the resonance, connection and attraction of creative resources; awakening the creative spirit of generations of Hanoians" - Ms. Tran Thi Van Anh emphasized.
The creative activities organized will be a dialogue between existing works, linking community memories with new creative ideas to emphasize the role of young people in continuing and promoting national values in developing the creative industry, promoting the Capital to truly develop to be worthy of being the creative center of the whole country...
Along with that, the spirit of creativity is also spread throughout cultural heritage spaces, creative spaces, traditional craft villages on all streets, districts, towns of the Capital. The Festival Organizing Committee also calls on organizations, individuals, agencies, and businesses in the city to collaborate in creativity, displaying their "creative initiatives" on the spot.
Also according to the Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism: The main area where the Festival takes place is the August Revolution Square, connecting the "Heritage Essence" axis (Ly Thai To - Le Thanh Tong street) and the "Creative Economy" axis (Bac Co slope - Trang Tien street), including outstanding architectural works such as: Hanoi Children's Palace, Government Guest House (Bac Bo Phu), Opera House, National Museum of History, University of Natural Sciences (former General University),... and 5 flower gardens Ly Thai To, Dien Hong, Co Tan, 19/8, Tao Dan on the route.
The festival has 3 symbolic works (Pavilion) "Innocent Corridor" at Hanoi Children's Palace, "Stream" at Dien Hong Flower Garden and Bac Bo Palace, "Dragon and Snake Up to the Clouds" at the National History Museum.

Along with that, the activities attracted the participation of young creative forces with many outstanding works, many of which were created based on the ideas and materials of senior artists, which were absorbed and developed by young artists according to their own ideas, bringing a contemporary breath, creating a connection between tradition and modernity. Many display and exhibition activities were also carried out right in the heritage spaces, creating unique exhibition complexes.
The Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2024 is one of the meaningful activities to strengthen the brand of Hanoi Creative City. Each year, the themes and scale of the Festival are increasingly expanded and become a festival for creative people and culture lovers in the capital.
The opening ceremony of the Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2024 is expected to take place at 7:30 p.m. on November 9, 2024, at August Revolution Square (in front of the Opera House).
