Also attending the activities were Lieutenant General Van Thoong But Ta Vong, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Lao People's Army; leaders of the Border Guard Department, General Staff of the Lao People's Army, and representatives of functional agencies of the General Staff of the Lao People's Army; Border Guard Command.
The construction of the barracks for Border Guard Company 541, Attapeu Provincial Military Command is a very important project and a special gift from the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense to the Lao People's Army in the first Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia Border Defense Friendship Exchange Program. The project was started and built from May 2023 to November 2023.
This is one of the projects that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense donated to the Lao Ministry of National Defense with the desire to always stand side by side with the Lao People's Army in general and the Lao border management and protection forces in particular. When the project comes into operation, it will contribute to improving the quality of life for officers and soldiers; at the same time, it will continue to affirm the relationship in the coordination work between the border management and protection forces of the two countries Vietnam - Laos.
On behalf of the working delegation of the Vietnam Border Guard Command, Major General Hoang Huu Chien hoped that after the project is put into use, it will create better conditions for the work and life of officers and soldiers of Border Guard Company 541. From there, it will contribute significantly to helping the unit successfully complete the task of protecting political security, social order and safety in the border area of the two countries, building a peaceful, friendly, stable and developing Vietnam - Laos border.
Major General Hoang Huu Chien hopes that in the coming time, the Lao Ministry of National Defense and local authorities on both sides of the border will continue to pay attention, support, and create favorable conditions for the border management and protection forces of the two countries in general, and the Border Guard forces of Kon Tum and Attapeu (Laos) in particular, to increase exchange and coordination activities and exchange of work experiences between the two sides.

On this occasion, within the framework of the first Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia Border Defense Friendship Exchange Program, the Military Medical Department, General Department of Logistics, Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam coordinated with the Lao military medical force to visit, examine health and provide free medicine to Lao people in Phoukue village, Phuvong district, Attapeu province.
Immediately after the handover ceremony, the delegation visited medical examination and treatment points for local people; visited and presented gifts to Phoukue Primary School, Phuvong District, Attapeu Province.

Receiving the gifts and special sentiments of the delegation, Major General Si Phan Thut Tha Vong, Director of the Border Guard Department, General Staff of the Lao People's Army, respectfully thanked and expressed his deep gratitude for the gifts that the delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense gave to the officers and people in the border area of Attapeu province, Laos. At the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, the relationship between the two sides would become increasingly strong, and there would continue to be many practical foreign affairs activities towards the officers, soldiers and people in the border area./.
