From January 15, VTC Digital Television, Voice of Vietnam Television Channel (VOVTV), and Nhan Dan Television will stop broadcasting.
VTC Digital Television and VOVTV will cease operations from 0:00 on January 15. Accordingly, TV channels belonging to the VTC group will stop production and broadcasting on all broadcasting infrastructures, including FPT Play.
The list of 13 VTC TV channels that have stopped operating includes: VTC1 HD, VTC2, VTC3 HD, VTC4 HD, VTC5 HD, VTC6 HD, VTC7 HD, VTC8, VTC9 HD, VTC10 HD, VTC11, VTC14 HD, VTC16 HD. The tasks and functions of VTC Digital Television Station were transferred to Vietnam Television (VTV).
People's Television also officially stopped operating from 0:00 on January 15. Previously, National Assembly TV and News Television had stopped operating since the beginning of January 2025.
VTC was established on August 19, 2004 to apply and test digital technology in television broadcasting. In 2015, the station was transferred to the Voice of Vietnam for management. VOVTV was established in 2008, and Nhan Dan Television was established in 2015.
National Assembly TV was broadcast on a trial basis from October 2014 to January 2015. In January 2015, the National Assembly-specific TV channel was officially launched, with the task of transmitting information about the National Assembly and the activities of the Party and the State to voters in all provinces and cities across the country.
