Mr. Ben shared: “Because the grapes are grown entirely outdoors, we have to monitor the weather. During the rainy season, I only focus on pruning branches and nurturing the leaves; only in the dry season do we allow the grapes to bear fruit to ensure quality and yield. Every day, the automatic watering system is operated for about 30 minutes in the morning to reduce the heat for the plants. Grapes are perennial fruit trees, with a lifespan of over 20 years, so the family boldly invested in and expanded the model.”
The vineyard is entirely outdoors, requiring specialized techniques and meticulous care.
With nearly 150 vines, the vineyard produces about 2-3 tons of organic grapes each year. The family mainly sells directly to visitors, so they often can't meet the demand.
The appeal of Tam Ben Vineyard lies not only in its clean grapes but also in its cool, green space amidst the sunny and windy coastal area. There is no entrance fee; visitors are free to explore, take photos, and buy grapes directly from the vineyard.
Tourists enjoy visiting, exploring , and taking souvenir photos under the grapevines laden with fruit.
According to local assessments, the grapevines have initially shown quite good adaptability to the coastal alluvial soil thanks to the long, dry season, which is favorable for flowering and fruiting.
Ms. Ngo Thi Bich Loan, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Hiep Thanh Ward, commented: "Through this model, the locality hopes that women with low-yield agricultural land can learn to develop their economy , stabilize their lives, and contribute to the development of ecotourism in the area."
