1. Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge
The Glass Road is a newly created scenic spot on Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie. The bridge is 60 meters long and its highest point is 1,430 meters above sea level.
All visitors to the bridge are required to wear shoe covers to keep the glass floor clean. The entire walkway is built right on the edge of the cliff, with the base made entirely of transparent glass so visitors can see the scenery below.
2. Ancient plank road of Ninh Vu cliff, Son Tay
On the steep cliff of Ningwu City, Shanxi Province, there is an ancient plank road that is 67 km long and was built long ago. The reason why the ancients were able to build such a long plank road is an unsolved mystery.
This plank road is nestled between the cliffs of the sunny canyon, opposite is a vast forest. Visitors can go up the plank road from behind Xiaoshimen village, walk along the cliff's side, cross the iron cable suspension bridge and Dashimen moat, and you will see the cave with the unique hanging coffins.
3. Changkong Plank Road, Mount Huashan
Changkong Plank Road is located on the east side of the South Peak of Mount Hua. According to legend, He Zhizhen, the first patriarch of the Huashan School, built it with stone nails and wood.
The top and bottom of the plank road are cliffs, with iron cables hanging across, the bridge deck is built from stone strips, the bottom is fixed with stone pillars.
Visitors can lean against the wall and carefully move to the other side of the cliff. This place has been voted as one of the 10 scariest walking paths in the world .
4. Taimu Boardwalk
The suspended plank road is built on the cliff like a belt. Standing here you can see the beautiful view of Taimu Mountain connecting the mountain and the sea.
If you climb the mountain early in the morning and the fog has not cleared, you will feel like you are walking on clouds.
5. Qingyun Plank Road
Qingyun Plank Road is located at an altitude of 1,700m above sea level and has a total length of about 3,100m.
The suspended plank road stretches across the cliffs, looking from afar like a dragon winding in the clouds. On the cliffs are pine trees and bushes decorating the path, extremely attractive to tourists .
6. Plank Road on Guizhou Mountain
On the steep cliff in Guizhou is a plank road that is thousands of meters long and suspended. When walking on this plank road, it shakes slightly. When you lower your head, you will see a rapid stream of water flowing below, combined with fog and mountain rain, creating a somewhat scary feeling when walking on this road.
7. Plank Road on Maiji Mountain
The plank roads on Maiji Mountain are mainly carved into cliffs 20-80m high. There are roundabout entrances to the cliffs. When walking on this road, visitors cannot help but feel nervous because the higher you go, the steeper and more winding the road becomes.
