The number of customers visiting car wash and detailing services has increased by approximately 20-30% compared to normal days.

Observations at several car wash and detailing facilities in Lao Cai and Cam Duong wards show a significant increase in the number of vehicles seeking services compared to normal days. People need to clean and beautify their vehicles for travel, visiting relatives and friends, and going on spring trips during Tet. During peak hours, especially in the afternoon and evening, staff have to work overtime to keep up with customer demand.

According to Mr. Vu Duc Anh, owner of Duc Anh Interior and Car Care facility in Lao Cai ward, the number of customers during this period has increased by about 20-30% compared to normal days.

“In the days leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year), the workers in the workshop have to work overtime, sometimes until 10 or 11 pm. The work is harder, but everyone tries their best to serve customers attentively. We expect that the number of customers will increase as Tet approaches, and the service prices may also increase slightly,” Mr. Duc Anh shared.

Pet grooming and beauty services are bustling during the year-end season.

Grooming and beauty services for dogs and cats also become busy in the final days of the year. Along with the growing trend of pet ownership, many families are paying more attention to caring for and beautifying their pets before the New Year.

At pet grooming facilities, the number of customers has increased significantly, especially in the late afternoon. Services such as bathing, grooming, ear and nail cleaning, and especially fur color changes are popular choices among customers.

The dogs are groomed and their fur color is changed to celebrate Tet (Vietnamese Lunar New Year).

In response to increased demand, pet care facilities have proactively imported more food and supplies and extended their operating hours.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hop, owner of the Lao Cai Veterinary Clinic in Lao Cai ward, said that during this period, the clinic usually closes later than usual. "Some days we don't finish work until 8 or 9 PM. Pet food and products have to be prepared early and ordered in larger quantities to keep up with customer demand," Ms. Hop explained.

Photography services for Tet (Lunar New Year) are also entering their peak season at the end of the year.

Along with that, Tet photography services are also entering their peak season. About two weeks before the Lunar New Year, many photographers are fully booked, having to arrange shifts to meet customer demand. This year's Tet photography trend still focuses on traditional ao dai, ancient costumes, and settings that are rich in national culture and historical atmosphere.

According to Ly A Lau, a freelance photographer in Cam Duong ward, he photographs about four clients a day, working in shifts from morning to afternoon.

"This year, the number of customers has increased significantly, mainly families and young people taking photos in traditional Vietnamese ao dai for Tet. I have to schedule appointments early to avoid conflicts," shared Mr. A Lau.

Along with photography services, supporting services such as makeup and costume rentals are also busier than usual.

Hair salons, spas, and skincare facilities throughout the province are also experiencing a bustling atmosphere. As Tet (Lunar New Year) approaches, the demand for beauty services, haircuts, perms, dyeing, and skincare increases as people prepare for gatherings, celebrations, and spring festivals.

Hair salons are busy from morning till night.

At HaChi Center beauty salon in Lao Cai ward, the number of customers increased by 30-40% compared to normal days, with a high concentration during lunchtime and late afternoon.

Ms. Ly Thi Xuan, the facility manager, said that on a normal day, the facility serves about 20 customers, but this number increases significantly during the period leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year). “During the period before Tet, we can serve 30-40 customers a day. Most customers are women, using skincare and moisturizing services to prepare for Tet. Due to the high volume of customers, the facility also arranges to work extra hours in the evenings,” Ms. Xuan said.

Not only professional service establishments, but also many seasonal workers such as those transporting ornamental plants, cleaning houses, and wrapping banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes) are entering their peak season.

The demand for transporting peach blossoms, kumquats, and apricot blossoms for Tet decorations has increased sharply, causing transportation and loading teams to work regularly to meet the needs of people in the days leading up to Tet.
