According to Article 58 of the 2008 Road Traffic Law, basic requirements for motorbike drivers include: age, health, driving license, and related documents.
1. Conditions for motorcyclists
Drivers must meet certain age and health criteria, as stipulated in Article 60 of the Road Traffic Law. 2. Necessary documents when participating in traffic
When participating in traffic, drivers need to carry some necessary documents such as:
- Vehicle registration
- Driving license
- Certificate of technical safety and environmental protection inspection
- Certificate of civil liability insurance of motor vehicle owner
Ensuring full compliance with documentation requirements and traffic laws helps motorcyclists avoid unnecessary fines and increase safety on the road.
3. Technical conditions of motorbikes
According to Article 57 of the 2008 Road Traffic Law, motorbikes must also meet technical safety and environmental protection requirements, including braking systems, lighting, exhaust and noise. Vehicles must also be registered and have license plates issued by competent authorities. In addition, maintaining the technical safety status and periodic inspection of the vehicle is the responsibility of the vehicle owner and operator.
4. Regulations on turning on lighting
One of the important regulations on traffic safety is the use of headlights at night or in bad weather conditions. Specifically, from 7:00 p.m. the previous day to 5:00 a.m. the following day, motorcyclists must turn on their headlights when moving. If they do not comply with this regulation, violators may be fined from 100,000 to 200,000 VND according to Article 6, Clause 1, Point l of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP.
Maintaining the lighting system and using it properly not only helps ensure your safety but also reduces the risk of traffic accidents. In case of violating regulations and causing an accident, the motorcyclist may have his/her driving license revoked for 02 to 04 months.
Compliance with regulations on driving conditions, documents, motorbike techniques, and traffic rules is very important. This not only ensures the safety of the driver himself but also helps protect other members when participating in traffic, while contributing to maintaining order and safety on the road.
