Flowers offered to Uncle Ho

To celebrate the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026) and the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization, the children of Son La are striving to achieve many outstanding accomplishments as a tribute to him. In this movement, exemplary Young Pioneers leaders have emerged, representing the younger generation who are always at the forefront of learning and self-improvement.

We had a chance encounter with Bui Thao Linh at the 2026 Son La Province Ethnic Minority Children's Festival, where she was honored as an outstanding Young Pioneer member. Currently, Thao Linh is in class 6A2 at 14/6 Primary and Secondary School and holds the position of Team Leader. Thao Linh inherited her passion for Young Pioneer activities from her mother, a dedicated teacher in charge of the Young Pioneer organization.

Under the energetic leadership of this young "leader," the Youth Union activities at 14/6 Primary and Secondary School are always vibrant and effective. Through life skills forums and visual science playgrounds, activities such as "Vietnamese Children Doing a Thousand Good Deeds" and "Helping Hands" attract a large number of active participants. Recently, Thao Linh also researched, created, and launched the "Doing Good Deeds" app for all members, helping them compete in practicing kindness every day, contributing to improving digital skills and developing safe and smart internet usage skills. As a result, the Youth Union of 14/6 Primary and Secondary School is always a shining example, leading in the local learning and training emulation movements.

In addition to excelling in her role as a youth group leader, Bui Thuy Linh has actively participated in competitions both within and outside the province over the years. As a result, she won first prize in the "National Stamp Collection and Research Competition 2025"; second prize in the "National Stamp Collection and Research Competition 2026"; and a Gold Medal in the Son La Provincial Youth and Children's Innovation Competition with her STEM model "Sister Tells Stories to Children," a product that was honored with a Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations .

For her tireless dedication, Thao Linh was honored with the Kim Dong Award in 2025 by the Central Committee of the Youth Union, becoming an outstanding figure in the movement "Children of Son La Province compete to follow the 5 teachings of Uncle Ho".

Sa Thai An will participate in the Son La Province Ethnic Children's Festival in 2026.

As for Sa Thai An, the deputy head of the student council at Chieng Sinh Primary School, she always takes the five teachings of Uncle Ho as her guiding principle in her studies and training. Throughout the past five years, she has consistently achieved the title of outstanding student. She also won third prize in the "Vietnamese Language Champion" competition at the school level and the title of Hoang Giap at the final round of the 24th National "Young Scholar" Festival, in the 2025-2026 school year.

Energetic, responsible, possessing a beautiful singing voice and a quick-witted demeanor, An always sets a good example and takes the lead in the Youth Union's activities; spreading the spirit of solidarity, readily sharing and helping friends to progress together in their studies. An emotionally shared: "On the occasion of the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, I will strive to study hard and offer to our beloved President Ho Chi Minh the flowers of perfect scores and the awards I have won. I aspire to be a good child, a good student, a good grandchild of President Ho Chi Minh, and to fulfill my dream of becoming a police officer like my father."

Commenting on her young student, teacher Tran Thi Thanh Luong, Head of the Youth Union at Chieng Sinh Primary School, proudly remarked: "Thai An is an outstanding Youth Union officer, always proactive and successfully completing all assigned tasks. An's spirit of striving for a perfect score in honor of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday is a shining example for all Youth Union members in the entire school to learn from and emulate."

The academic journey and active participation in youth group activities of Bui Thao Linh and Sa Thai An have further enriched the glorious tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization of Son La province. We believe that the flame of passion and the desire to contribute from these two exemplary individuals will continue to spread, empowering the young generation of Son La to soar even higher and further on their path of learning and self-improvement.
