In the coming time, Vietnam Airlines will continue to update the roadmap for transferring other domestic routes to Terminal T3 and will widely notify passengers through official channels. It is expected that the airline will arrange check-in counters at Terminal T3 from number 56 to 109, along with 22 automatic check-in counters to help passengers save time and increase initiative.
To ensure a smooth journey, passengers are advised to carefully check the departure terminal information on their tickets, learn the T3 terminal map, arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before their flight time, and prioritize using online check-in on the website, mobile application or at self-service kiosks at the airport.
Notably, this is the first time in Vietnam that passengers have experienced automatic boarding gates using CCCD biometrics.
A representative of Vietnam Airports Corporation said the event is not only a testament to the progress and quality of the national key project but also an affirmation of a modern aviation space where passenger experience is put first.
Immediately after the first passengers arrived and departed from the new terminal, many positive feedbacks were recorded. All expressed surprise at the spacious, airy space; the check-in areas were scientifically arranged, making it easy and quick to move around.
Passenger Tran Thi Huong shared: "I have a good impression of the clear and easy-to-follow electronic flight information system, the check-in counters and security screening areas are professionally organized, minimizing waiting time. With modern facilities like this, I believe other passengers will also feel much more comfortable and satisfied when arriving and departing from Tan Son Nhat."
Passenger terminal T3 has a total floor area of up to 112,500m², including 1 basement and 4 upper floors, scientifically and modernly arranged with 90 traditional check-in counters, 20 automatic baggage drop counters and 42 check-in kiosks.

According to the plan, after the flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Van Don, from the end of April, all domestic flights of Vietnam Airlines will officially move to terminal T3, except for flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Con Dao, Ca Mau, Rach Gia which will continue to operate at terminal T1.
Immediately after the peak period of April 30 - May 1, this new modern passenger terminal will receive all domestic flights of Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet, equivalent to nearly 80% of the total number of domestic flights arriving and departing at Tan Son Nhat airport.
The operation of Terminal T3 is considered not only to improve the quality of airline services and passenger experience through the application of advanced aviation technology, but also to contribute to making Tan Son Nhat gradually become an important aviation hub in the Asian region.
