Currently, some gas stations in Ho Chi Minh City have started selling this type of fuel. After a trial period, from May 20th, Petrolimex is one of the businesses that will roll out the mass sale of E10 bioethanol fuel throughout its entire system.

On the morning of May 21st, a large number of people came to experience using this new type of biofuel.
Sharing his personal experience, Mr. Lam Hoang Mai (Cau Ong Lanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) said that this was the first time he had used E10 gasoline. Although he didn't know how well it would perform in terms of engine maintenance, he found that his vehicle still ran well.
E10 bioethanol fuel is a blend of 90% mineral gasoline and 10% bioethanol, and has been widely used in many countries for years to reduce emissions and reliance on fossil fuels. This type of fuel is considered compatible with most current vehicles.
Dr. Le Tu Thanh, Head of the Environmental Science Department at the University of Science , Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, stated that for E10 gasoline, users need to pay attention to the manufacturer's recommendations and perform regular maintenance to resolve this issue. The doctor also advised that if a vehicle is left unused for a long time, it's best not to fill the tank completely, and after a long period, people can start the engine to circulate the fuel.
Concurring with this view, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Dinh Quan, Department of Chemical Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, added that if even a small amount of water is present during the blending process, it will mix with the alcohol and enter the gasoline, forming tiny droplets in the gasoline solution. Over time or during operation, these tiny droplets enter the electronic fuel injector or carburetor nozzle, causing localized disruption in the engine's combustion cycles.
