Sports to start before the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics

The 2024 Paris Olympics - The 33rd Olympics will have a total of 329 events in 32 sports . This Games officially opens on July 26, but before that, there will be competitions opening on July 24 and 25.

According to the competition schedule set by the Organizing Committee, there will be 4 events taking place before the opening day including archery, football (men and women), women's handball and rugby (men and women). Of which, the first 2 events on July 24 will be men's football and men's rugby.

Of which, the two men's football matches: Argentina vs. Morocco and Uzbekistan vs. Spain at 8:00 p.m. on July 24 (Vietnam time) are the first competitions of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Although there will be four events to compete in before the official opening ceremony, no medals will be awarded on July 24 and 25. It will be on the first official day of competition (July 27) that the first medals will be awarded.

The Vietnamese Sports Delegation participating in the 2024 Paris Olympics has 39 members, including 16 athletes, 12 coaches, 9 delegation members and 2 doctors.
