| Despite being unable to communicate normally, this special employee is still very enthusiastic in assisting customers. |
Upon entering the restaurant, many diners are initially surprised by the relaxed atmosphere and distinctive service. Young staff members greet guests with gentle smiles, polite bows, and quick hand gestures.
Without needing many words, sincerity is present in every glance, every simple gesture. At Minh Vegan, silence doesn't create distance. On the contrary, it is this silence that makes people slow down amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life to listen and understand each other more.
Each carefully prepared menu board, each hand gesture, or each small note exchanged with customers becomes a special bridge between strangers. Some first-time customers are hesitant to communicate with the hearing-impaired staff, but after just a few minutes, all barriers disappear. Many diners leave the restaurant with more than just a delicious meal.
Nguyen Linh Anh, a 4th-grade student from Doi Can 2 Primary School, shared: "I like coming to the restaurant because the hearing-impaired staff are very kind and resilient. What's special isn't just the food, but also the way they're always cheerful and dedicated despite facing many difficulties in life."
Behind those gentle smiles lies the journey of overcoming insecurities for those who were repeatedly denied job opportunities simply because they couldn't hear and speak like others.

| Ms. Bui Bich Phuong, owner of Minh Vegan vegetarian restaurant, always supports and creates opportunities for the hearing impaired. |
Nguyen Cong Toi, an employee of the restaurant, said emotionally: "What makes me happiest is being able to support myself without depending on my family anymore. Working at Minh Vegan not only provides income, but also helps me find self-confidence and a sense of being useful to society."
As for Dao Tien Manh, his biggest dream is to one day open his own vegetarian restaurant to serve people and help his family. A seemingly simple dream, but one that embodies so much effort and a burning desire to affirm his self-worth.
Few people know that, to achieve the confidence they have today, these hearing-impaired employees have had to overcome many difficulties. The biggest obstacle for them is sometimes not their physical disability, but the hesitant gaze of society and the lack of trust from those around them.
Understanding this, Ms. Bui Bich Phuong, owner of Minh Vegan restaurant, chose to create opportunities for the hearing impaired, even though hiring regular staff would be much easier for the restaurant's operation.
According to Ms. Phuong, what she hopes for is not only to create jobs so that the students can earn an income, but also to help them learn a trade, become independent, and have the opportunity to have a stable life in the long term. Besides serving customers, many students are also guided in food preparation, restaurant management, and learning additional customer communication skills. They can absolutely do well if given the opportunity and trust, Ms. Bich Phuong shared.
Perhaps what makes Minh Vegan special is not just its light and healthy vegetarian dishes, but also the way it subtly instills kindness and faith in the value of each individual. In this small space, the hearing impaired are treated with respect.
They are given work, listened to, learn a trade, and are given the opportunity to stand on their own two feet, even though many difficulties remain...
