On the morning of June 2nd, the Executive Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Association of Elderly People held its second conference for the 2024-2029 term, aiming to consolidate the organization following the merger of Thai Nguyen and Bac Kan provinces.

The Executive Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Association of Elderly People for the 2024-2029 term was introduced at the Conference.

The conference adopted the direction, objectives, and tasks for the 2024-2029 period, including striving to gather 95% of elderly people into the association; 90% of grassroots associations achieving the title "Elderly - Shining Example"; 100% of communes and wards maintaining the operation of the Fund for caring for and promoting the role of the elderly; and 90% or more of elderly people participating in the Digital Literacy Movement, aiming for universal digital skills.

The conference proceeded to consolidate the personnel of the Provincial Association's Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Inspection Committee. Accordingly, the Executive Committee was supplemented to ensure 29 members, the Standing Committee has 7 members, and the Inspection Committee has 5 members; at the same time, the Head of the Inspection Committee for the 2024-2029 term was elected. The conference also elected a delegation representing the elderly members of Thai Nguyen province to attend the higher-level congress with a high number of votes of confidence.

The Thai Nguyen Provincial Association of Elderly People presented gifts to express gratitude to the comrades who are stepping down from the Executive Committee for the 2024-2029 term.

At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Association announced the decision to establish 10 emulation clusters under the Provincial Association of the Elderly in 2026, and also expressed gratitude to the comrades who are stepping down from the Executive Committee for the new term.
