One of the things candidates need to pay special attention to during the high school graduation exam is the items allowed in the examination room.

Mistakes candidates should avoid

As the high school graduation exam approaches, many students feel anxious, nervous, and stressed, leading to forgetfulness and regrettable mistakes.

There are mistakes, sometimes very small, but if not noticed, they can have serious consequences. These include candidates not preparing thoroughly, not having all the necessary documents, tools, and materials for the exam; forgetting their exam card, ID card/citizen identification card, etc.; not getting enough sleep, going to the exam on an empty stomach, not drinking enough water, arriving late for the exam, studying only certain topics, focusing only on certain subjects, being overconfident and not reviewing the material before the exam; bringing mobile phones into the exam room, using stimulants (strong tea, strong coffee, energy drinks, etc.); going off-topic, not reading the questions carefully, not checking the exam paper thoroughly, entering incorrect data into the computer.

These also include forgetting to write your name on the answer sheet, omitting information, writing the wrong exam code, writing the wrong registration number, forgetting to mark answers, marking the wrong answers, marking two answers for one question, leaving the answer box blank, forgetting to copy from the scratch paper to the answer sheet, using abbreviations out of habit, using too many symbols, using bullet points arbitrarily, unclearly, unscientifically , and not properly storing the exam paper (the answer sheet is bent, damaged, or lost...).

Ignoring the time limit, overthinking, spending too long on one question, focusing too much on difficult questions first, leaving the exam room early without carefully reviewing the exam paper, and dwelling too much on the completed exam are all things candidates should avoid.

Important notes for candidates

Typically, as the exam day approaches, candidates experience considerable pressure and anxiety, leading to irregular eating habits that negatively impact their physical condition and health. To achieve good results, candidates must first maintain good health, have a well-planned study and relaxation schedule to regain necessary balance, dedicate time to exercise, listen to music, watch movies, and maintain a regular, nutritious diet with healthy foods such as meat, fish, eggs, milk, fresh fruits, and green vegetables.

Absolutely avoid eating unfamiliar foods, foods of unknown origin, or foods that are unsafe or unhygienic, as these can cause unfortunate illnesses during the exam such as stomach aches, diarrhea, and fever. Ideally, candidates should eat cooked food and drink boiled water, and eat familiar dishes. Before the exam, avoid staying up late or waking up too early, get enough sleep to recharge your energy and maintain a refreshed mind, choose a suitable study schedule, and absolutely avoid stimulants such as strong tea, strong coffee, and energy drinks.

Before the exam, avoid intensive cramming; simply review what you've learned. To better focus your knowledge on each subject, you can review by creating outlines of important information, noting down keywords, formulas, and concepts.

Thorough preparation ensures that candidates will not miss anything before the exam. Therefore, 1-2 days before the exam, candidates should prepare important documents such as their exam admission card, ID card/citizen identification card, and items allowed in the exam room according to regulations. Calculators should have their batteries replaced, and candidates should avoid borrowing calculators they are unfamiliar with.

Maintain a calm and composed mindset during the exam.

To maintain a calm and confident mindset before the exam, candidates should arrive at the examination venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time for entering the examination room.

When receiving the exam paper and scratch paper, check all pages for any irregularities. If any are found, contact the invigilator immediately to exchange the exam paper and scratch paper. Carefully write accurate information on the exam paper and scratch paper. Anything unclear can be discussed openly with the invigilator for further guidance. When receiving the exam paper, check that all pages are complete and clearly legible.

Absolutely avoid being "hypnotized" by the exam environment; remain calm and "fight" until the very last moment. If you finish the exam early, don't leave immediately. Read and carefully check your answers one or two more times. For any questions you're unsure about, you can redo them on scratch paper to be more certain. This is beneficial because once you submit your paper and leave the exam room, there's no longer any opportunity to "correct" mistakes.

After finishing each exam, forget about the completed subject and try to focus intensely on the next subjects; miracles will come your way in the upcoming high school graduation exam.
