Brands from Dong Nai reach out to the ocean

In recent years, many domestic enterprises in general and in Dong Nai in particular have been constantly growing, striving to reach out and develop brand value domestically and internationally.

Thereby, many brands of domestic enterprises in Dong Nai have received honor and acceptance from consumers, as well as increasingly expanding their market size, reaching out to the ocean in the context of international integration.

Many famous brands

In Dong Nai, in recent years, many product brands have been welcomed by consumers such as: Bien Hoa Sugar (Bien Hoa Sugar Joint Stock Company), Lothamilk (Lothamilk Joint Stock Company), Vinacafé (Vinacafé Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company), Donagamex (Dong Nai Garment Corporation Joint Stock Company), GCfood (GC Food Joint Stock Company), Nam Long, Trong Duc Cacao...

Vinacafé Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company has a leading position in Vietnam with a wide range of products including instant coffee, nutritional cereals and bottled beverages. As the first instant coffee manufacturer in Southeast Asia and started operating since 1968, Vinacafé Bien Hoa has developed its product portfolio as well as established an extensive distribution system, holding the No. 1 market share in the instant coffee industry and the leading position in the branded beverage industry in Vietnam.

Since 2017, the Vinacafé brand has been officially recognized as a famous brand in Vietnam by the Ministry of Science and Technology in conjunction with the International Trademark Association (INTA) in the project to protect famous Vietnamese brands. 2024 is the 9th consecutive year that this enterprise has been recognized as a national brand.

Truong Hai Group Corporation (Thaco) started out as a small auto repair shop in Bien Hoa City, but has now become a multi-industry corporation and is considered the leader of Vietnam's mechanical and manufacturing industry. Thaco exports cars and other products to many countries around the world.

This enterprise is also promoting the development of supporting industries with the role of gathering and connecting small and medium enterprises together, building industrial parks for supporting industries and mechanical engineering.

Mr. Tran Ba ​​Duong, the group's founder, has been among the richest people in Vietnam for many years and is a billionaire on the world rankings.

According to Mr. Tran Ba ​​Duong, Thaco's orientation in the coming years is to prioritize the development of supporting industries for self-sufficient production. The main goal is to reduce the cost of cars, including the body frame, interior and exterior, especially electronic devices and digital platforms for intelligence and safety. At the same time, the group also builds a supporting industrial ecosystem with small and medium enterprises and partners.

At the end of October 2024, the National Brand Council unanimously selected and recognized 190 enterprises with 359 products that are eligible to achieve the Vietnam National Brand. Dong Nai has 9 enterprises with products recognized as National Brands, including: Dong Nai Brick and Tile Joint Stock Company, Electrical Equipment Joint Stock Company, Vinacafé Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company, Binh Tien Consumer Goods Production Company Limited, ATAD Steel Structure Joint Stock Company; GC Food Joint Stock Company (GC Food)... In addition, there are also enterprises achieving the National Brand in 2024, although headquartered in other provinces and cities, but have factories in Dong Nai.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of GC Food Joint Stock Company (Ho Nai Industrial Park, Trang Bom District) Nguyen Van Thu shared that 2024 is the first time the company has been honored as a Vietnamese National Brand with the aloe vera product GC Food. This is a strong motivation for GC Food to continue investing, expanding production scale, as well as constantly improving quality to meet the increasing demands of the market in the context of increasingly deep integration.

Also a long-standing enterprise with over 80 years of development, 2024 is the third consecutive year that Dong Nai Brick and Tile Joint Stock Company (Tuildonai) has been recognized as a Vietnamese national brand. With over 84 years of establishment and development, Tuildonai has gradually affirmed its leading position in the construction brick and tile manufacturing industry. Tuildonai's products are not only popular in the domestic market, but also exported to many countries around the world.

Innovative thinking, proactive international integration

Many brands in Dong Nai are increasingly focusing on building and enhancing their brands, developing markets, applying technology to production, and being proactive in the integration trend through new-generation free trade agreements (FTAs).

According to many businesses, building a brand is a long-term story, lasting for many years. Each company belongs to a different field of production and business and also has a different way of doing things in its development process. But the common point is that the story of a brand is not easy to achieve, the business owner must set a long-term vision, aim for sustainable development and meet the needs of customers, put heart and reputation, build a separate business culture for his business to be able to step by step move towards success.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thu added that GC Food will continue to meet green requirements and criteria for sustainable production. In particular, the company focuses on investing in research and development, improving production processes, and committing to implementing the ESG Strategy (environment, society, governance) to promote sustainable development.

According to many experts, in the context of increasingly developing science and technology, consumer tastes through e-commerce channels are increasingly flourishing, which will affect the development orientation of enterprises. Moreover, the trend of converting from traditional business to digital platforms is becoming more and more popular.

In particular, cross-border e-commerce channels are one of the potential solutions to help businesses penetrate and expand export markets. This opens up many opportunities for domestic businesses in general and Dong Nai in particular to access and expand markets based on the development of digital platforms.
