The "Sharing Meals of Love" volunteer group started with the heartfelt generosity of Ms. Le Thi Hong Lan (42 years old, group leader), who lives in Thanh Khe ward. As a self-employed trader, Ms. Lan frequently encounters homeless people and poor laborers struggling to find food to survive each day.
Driven by genuine compassion, every Sunday morning, Ms. Lan prepares ingredients and personally cooks meals to deliver to the poor on many streets in Da Nang . Her call to share love and compassion has also received much attention and support from the community.
From a small, spontaneous act, the group's charitable activities gradually became a regular practice with a humane message: "Take what you need - give way to those who have enough."

Every Sunday in April, the small house at 47/7 Tran Thai Tong Street (Thanh Khe Ward) is filled with the lively chatter and laughter of volunteers. From early morning, many people are present, some washing rice, others preparing food, some cooking… all working together to prepare warm meals to send to those in need.
Each time, around 400-500 meals are carefully prepared and packaged, then distributed evenly among the volunteers' motorbikes. From there, small groups fan out to various routes with a high concentration of homeless people and freelance workers, delivering these compassionate meals directly to them.

The "Sharing Meals of Love" group is gradually expanding its activities, organizing two cooking sessions every Sunday: lunchtime for street workers and those in difficult circumstances; and dinnertime for poor patients and their families receiving treatment at hospitals in Da Nang.
Ms. Le Thi Hong Lan said that after nearly a year of operation, the volunteer group has distributed tens of thousands of free meals to people in difficult circumstances in Da Nang. What makes Ms. Lan happiest is not only the number of meals given away, but also the collective efforts of many compassionate hearts. Everyone who joins the group shares a common goal: to do good for the community.
Currently, the group's members are quite diverse, ranging from workers and students to retired officials and civil servants. Despite their different jobs and circumstances, they all share a common goal: a spirit of volunteerism and a desire to share with those in need in Da Nang.
In particular, the group's activities have attracted many international tourists visiting Da Nang. After learning about the program, many tourists proactively sought to participate. Despite differences in language and culture, empathy and a spirit of sharing quickly brought people together.

Beyond simply cooking and distributing free meals, the "Sharing Meals of Love" group actively participates in relief efforts for localities in Central Vietnam affected by natural disasters or hardships. The journey of cooking meals of love is being continued by ordinary people with compassionate hearts, sharing a common desire to spread sharing within the community and ignite small glimmers of hope amidst everyday life.
