Representatives of the local government of Ninh Quoi commune, Dan Tri Newspaper, and sponsors together handed over charity houses to households.

The three households that received the houses were Mr. Bui Tiep Khac, Mrs. Ho Bach Thuy and Ms. Thach Thi Uot, with a total construction cost of 240 million VND (each house cost 80 million VND). Of which, 180 million VND was donated by businesses participating in the 20th Anniversary Celebration of Dan Tri Electronic Newspaper, the remaining 60 million VND was sponsored by Bao Viet Life Bac Lieu Company.

At the handover ceremony, the representative of Dan Tri Newspaper informed about the process of surveying and verifying the households’ circumstances and the funding source contributed by kind readers. The representative of the newspaper also congratulated the families for having a new, spacious house, helping them to live in peace, stabilize their lives, and no longer fear every time it rains or winds.

Moved when receiving the new house, Ms. Thach Thi Uot, representing three households receiving support, shared: “Previously, my family lived in an old, dilapidated house. Every time it rained or was windy, we were worried that it could collapse at any time. Now, thanks to the attention of the local government, readers of Dan Tri Newspaper and Bao Viet Life Bac Lieu Company, my family has a solid, cozy house. This will be the motivation for us to try to do business and strive for a better life.”

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr. Le Van Dang, Vice Chairman of Ninh Quoi Commune People's Committee, expressed his deep gratitude to the sponsors and Dan Tri Newspaper for accompanying the locality in social security work, supporting housing for poor and disadvantaged households. The Vice Chairman of Ninh Quoi Commune People's Committee hopes that in the coming time, the units will continue to stick together and join hands with the locality in volunteer activities, contributing to improving people's lives.
