(NLĐO) - According to authorities, Thien Minh Duc Group Joint Stock Company has committed numerous business violations and has a large amount of outstanding debt.


At noon on January 3rd, police forces appeared at the headquarters of Thien Minh Duc Group Joint Stock Company and the private residence of Ms. Chu Thi Thanh at 289 Ngo Duc Ke Street, Vinh Tan Ward, Vinh City, Nghe An Province. Ms. Thanh is the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Thien Minh Duc Group Joint Stock Company.

Previously, in late December 2023, the Nghe An Provincial Tax Department issued notice No. 4224 regarding the temporary suspension of exit permits for Ms. Chu Thi Thanh, Chairwoman of Thien Minh Duc Group Joint Stock Company.

The headquarters of Thien Minh Duc Group Joint Stock Company is located in Vinh City, Nghe An Province.

According to the conclusions of the Government Inspectorate announced on January 4, 2024, Thien Minh Duc Group Joint Stock Company regularly declared environmental protection tax incorrectly and underpaid it both initially and monthly; it failed to declare tax and made dishonest declarations of the amount of environmental protection tax payable, resulting in an increase of over 3,287 billion VND in the total amount of environmental protection tax declared initially and subsequently declared again from 2018 to 2021.

According to the inspection agency, from 2017 to 2022, Thien Minh Duc Group Joint Stock Company lent more than 7,485 billion VND to Mr. Chu Dang Khoa, Deputy General Director, and Ms. Chu Thi Thanh, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Company.

At the time of the inspection, Ms. Chu Thi Thanh and Mr. Chu Dang Khoa still owed the company a total of more than 1.396 billion VND. Mr. Chu Dang Khoa is the son of the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, Chu Thi Thanh. Mr. Chu Dang Khoa (born in 1982) lived in South Africa for a time and was involved in the diamond business, often referred to as the "diamond tycoon".

Furthermore, as of April 2024, according to the Nghe An Provincial Tax Department, Thien Minh Duc Group Joint Stock Company is the largest debtor of taxes and other state budget revenues in Nghe An province, amounting to over 1,000 billion VND.

Reportedly, Thien Minh Duc Group Joint Stock Company was established in September 2001. After several announcements of changes to its business registration, according to the most recent registration change in August 2023, the company has a total charter capital of VND 2,022 billion, with Ms. Chu Thi Thanh as the legal representative. Ms. Chu Thi Thanh holds 77.15% of the shares; "diamond tycoon" Chu Dang Khoa holds 22.77%; and another individual holds 0.08%.

After more than 20 years of establishment, Thien Minh Duc Group Joint Stock Company mainly operates in the fields of petroleum and liquefied petroleum gas. This enterprise also owns the DKC Shipping brand, and its other subsidiaries are involved in the production of paper and packaging.

In addition, Thien Minh Duc also operates in the hotel, restaurant, amusement park, and real estate sectors.
