| Mobile task forces in Bang Thanh commune are going "door to door" to implement Project 06. |
Implementing Plan No. 05/KH-UBND of Thai Nguyen province and the direction of the provincial police leadership, Bang Thanh commune established 8 mobile task forces, mobilizing more than 462 members from the police, People's Committee officials, teachers, village heads, youth union, women's association, community digital technology groups, local security forces, and volunteer students. With the motto "going to every alley, knocking on every door, checking every person," the teams reached 38 villages, many of which are located up to 30km from the commune center.
Ms. Ha Thi Hue , Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bang Thanh commune, shared: "To ensure that people clearly see the benefits of digital services in their daily lives, from the very beginning, the commune government has emphasized that everything must be done thoroughly; from assisting with ID card issuance and identification to guiding people on how to use online public services."
From July 21st to August 2nd, Bang Thanh commune received 10,033 identity card applications for individuals over 14 years old, achieving 99.49% of the target; and received 1,449 electronic identification applications, bringing the total number of VNeID level 2 accounts to 6,549 citizens aged 14 and above, reaching 64.94% of the target. More than 3,200 electronic health records were activated, and nearly 3,000 citizens integrated their health insurance cards and digital signatures.
Cooperatives and businesses were also guided on organizational identification, with 24 out of 41 establishments having completed their dossiers. These figures are the result of considerable effort, as Bang Thanh currently has 13 villages without electricity, 12 villages located in areas with poor signal coverage; the majority of residents are ethnic minorities who rarely use smartphones, making data collection challenging and progressing slower compared to other areas.
To bring the benefits of digital services to the people, the commune's task forces have implemented many flexible solutions, going down to the villages, sitting with the people to guide and support them through each procedure.
Notably, the Bang Thanh commune police also mobilized social resources, providing tables, chairs, and fans at the document reception point; the entire commune contributed over 3 million VND to buy bread and milk to support people with lunch; at the same time, they called for donations of an additional 21 cartons of milk, 400 loaves of bread, 10 bottles of filtered water, and arranged transportation for the elderly in remote villages.
Captain Hoang Xuan Hao, Deputy Head of the Bang Thanh Commune Police, who initiated the social mobilization effort to support people in getting Level 2 identity verification accounts, said: "I noticed that some people, especially the elderly and women carrying small children, had to travel from early morning, covering distances of tens of kilometers, and didn't even have time to eat lunch before completing the procedures. Therefore, I mobilized officers and soldiers to contribute food and continued to call on departments, agencies, and organizations to provide support to make it easier for people during the peak period of implementing Project 06."
