Duc Hanh (right in the photo) is actively preparing for the milestone of completing her student journey.
In previous years, I dedicated my full time to coursework and projects at school, occasionally volunteering at non-profit events. My guiding principle was to focus on my studies, so while I had some practical experiences outside of class, they were insignificant, mostly involving only what I truly enjoyed. Realizing there was still much I didn't know, I decided to find a part-time job related to my field before graduation. I sent out dozens of resumes and received interview calls, but none were satisfactory. I paused my search to truly reflect and better prepare for my journey. And then the right job came along: editing on YouTube for a digital content production company in Hanoi . I flexibly and effectively managed this online and part-time work with my study schedule. I realized that I didn't need to rush into work; I could slow down a few steps, allowing myself to be ready and comfortable to move forward. The joy continued when a lecturer introduced me to an internship at an event organizing company. Actually, this wasn't an official internship as mandated by the school, so I didn't have many opportunities to work directly with people at the company. Nevertheless, I appreciate every connection I've had to observe and learn practical skills from senior colleagues, and compare them to my future career goals.
Traveling with friends is also a way for young people to gain more experience, so they can confidently move on to a new chapter in their lives when they truly enter the labor market.
Like many young people, I aspire to accumulate rich experiences, but I'm aware that my priority right now is still studying. I don't just sit down when there are mandatory assignments or research; I try to build a habit of studying whenever possible, avoiding idleness and boredom. Balancing studying, working, and experiencing new things is very rewarding. I'm particularly interested in foreign languages. Besides English, which is essential not only in my Public Relations field but also in other areas, I'm also seriously improving my Korean. I've always been passionate about Korean culture, and learning Korean helps me connect spiritually with my idols. Just understanding a little, hearing their encouragement, is enough to uplift my spirits and give me energy. Studying is both a hobby and a goal for me to develop into a better version of myself. This summer, for me, has been busy but meaningful. I discovered my own potential and enthusiastically gathered and contemplated many new things to be confident and proactive when I graduated.
