According to India Times, an explosion occurred at a chemical factory in Pashamylaram, Telangana state, on the morning of June 30, killing at least 15 workers and injuring 35 others, including 12 in critical condition.
The death toll could rise as many workers remain trapped under the collapsed building, authorities said.

More than 60 workers were believed to be present at the factory at the time of the explosion. These workers hailed from Telangana, Andhra, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Bengal.
"Elanghovan, the timekeeper, is missing. This makes it difficult to identify those inside the building. Many of the bodies were burned beyond recognition. By the end of June 30, only four bodies had been identified," the source said.

Rescue teams continued their search on March 1. "The company management's failure to provide accurate information about the number of workers inside has complicated the rescue efforts," said Narayana Rao, director of the fire department.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed condolences to the families of the victims and announced compensation of Rs 200,000 each for the families of those killed and Rs 50,000 for those injured.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.
