Provincial Youth Union leaders give gifts to children at the Provincial Social Protection Center.

Along with the whole country, over the past 84 years, the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team of Son La province has always strived to do a good job of caring for, nurturing and educating teenagers and children. Team activities, emulation movements, and campaigns, with practical content, create a healthy environment and useful playground, contributing to orienting children to self-improvement and comprehensive development in morality - intelligence - physique - aesthetics.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union Council, said: The whole province has more than 238,000 members, teenagers, and children, operating in 338 teams. Every year, the Provincial Youth Union Council has directed the Youth Union councils at all levels to organize activities to educate on ideals, ethics, and lifestyles for teenagers and children. Typical examples include the movement "Son La children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings", "Journey to red addresses"; the topic "Every week a beautiful story, a good book, a shining example"...

In the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year, 210 teams organized trips for over 30,000 team members to "Red Addresses" inside and outside the province; 292 teams organized thematic activities "A beautiful story, a good book, a shining example every week", attracting 106,000 team members to participate. In addition, the teams also regularly organize extracurricular activities to meet historical witnesses; history competitions; promote sovereignty over seas and islands; participate in cleaning up historical sites, cultural sites, revolutionary sites, scenic spots, martyrs' memorial houses in the locality...

Implementing the "Small Plan" movement, the Youth Union at all levels organized specific and practical activities, such as: Small Plan Chicken Flock; collecting firewood; collecting scrap paper, plastic bottles..., collecting 50 million VND to support and help children in difficult circumstances, building young people's construction works. Organizing activities to form the habit of reading books, developing reading culture among children, 100% of the Youth Union implemented the movement "Read and follow the Youth Newspaper"; the model "Creative experience recess"; "Skills Clubs", STEM...

The Moc Ly Primary School Union, Moc Chau town, with 400 team members and children, has implemented creative ways to organize team activities. In September 2023, the Union piloted the model "Improving digital capacity for children through organizing Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Team activities".

Teacher Do Thu Thao, Team Leader of Moc Ly Primary School, said: The model focuses on applying digital transformation to designing youth newsletters; organizing for team members to participate in "Reading space and experiencing digital team activities"; building youth projects "Discovering Moc Chau through the window with me" and "Smart team member handbook". The activities attract a large number of students to participate, enthusiastically and boldly interact, thereby improving digital technology skills and enhancing the quality of team activities.

The Provincial Youth Union and the Youth Union at all levels have carried out many projects and tasks that bring value to the community. The groundbreaking ceremony of the “Happy House” project for the family of Vu Linh Chi, a 4th grade student at Chieng Sinh Primary School, Son La City, with a support budget of 80 million VND.

Vu Linh Chi shared: I am very happy to receive financial support from my aunts and uncles to build a house. From now on, my grandmother and I will have a new place to live, without worrying about rain and leaks. I will try to study well to become a useful citizen for society.

To celebrate the 84th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team and the 135th anniversary of Uncle Ho's birthday, on May 18, the Provincial Youth Union will organize an art program with the theme: "Son La children sing thousands of songs for Uncle Ho".

Within the framework of the program, 24 team leaders and 51 team members with outstanding achievements in implementing the movement "Son La children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" in 2025 will be honored. This is an opportunity for each team member, teenager, and child to foster pride in the heroic history of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team. From there, continue to follow the example of previous generations to cultivate virtue, train talent, and contribute to building an increasingly prosperous homeland.
