While Hanoi is experiencing days of intense heat, the weather conditions at Noi Bai International Airport are even more unbearable.

The entire vast airfield, with its large, heat-absorbing concrete surface, resembles a "giant frying pan." Adding to this the heat radiating from the engines of the aircraft in operation, the air becomes scorching and stifling. However, this does not discourage the officers and workers who are tirelessly working day and night on the runway, racing against time to ensure absolute safety for every flight.

For employees working in the airport area, the harsher the weather, the greater the workload and pressure.
During periods of intense heat, they have to speed up their work to ensure that all construction and maintenance projects in the airfield are completed on schedule, avoiding interruptions when the weather suddenly turns stormy or windy.

Even in extreme weather conditions, all tasks were carried out regularly and meticulously: maintaining patrols, mowing grass, and dredging drainage systems in preparation for the rainy season; especially the collection of foreign object debris (FOD) to ensure absolute flight safety; maintaining and inspecting the signage and approach lighting systems; painting signal markings and aircraft parking positions to ensure compliance with flight safety standards.

The unique nature of the aviation industry demands absolute precision. Even with temperatures of 71°C below and the scorching sun above, all procedures are meticulously carried out, strictly adhering to safety protocols.

A leader from the Noi Bai Airport Operations Center shared that, in order to ensure the health of employees while still fulfilling their duties and ensuring flight safety, the unit has proactively calculated and arranged flexible shifts, except for unforeseen circumstances that require immediate attention. The health of employees is always the top priority.

Besides regulating working hours scientifically , the Noi Bai International Airport Trade Union also promptly organized visits and gift-giving to further motivate the forces who are working tirelessly at the most challenging "hot spots" of the airport.
