In Lung Duc village, Hoang Van Thu commune, the previous cultural house was small and lacked equipment. Up to now, the new cultural house with an area of 84 m2 has been solidly built, fully equipped with tables and chairs, sound system and an adjacent sports field for the community. To have this project, the State supported materials such as cement, gravel... and the villagers contributed 300 thousand VND/household (79 households) and labor days. To achieve that result, in recent years, professional sectors, Party committees and authorities at all levels have paid attention to leading and directing the construction and completion of infrastructure for grassroots cultural and sports institutions, while at the same time, promoting propaganda and mobilizing people to join hands to participate.
Ms. Le Hai Yen, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: Every year, the department develops a plan to implement criterion No. 6 on cultural facilities in the National Criteria for New Rural Construction, including the criterion on building village cultural houses; at the same time, coordinate with relevant units to propagate and guide villages and communes to implement, organize inspections and appraisals of indicators and criteria under the management of the sector for communes striving to meet New Rural standards. The cultural house is not only a place for activities but also a center for community cohesion, a foundation for spreading positive values, contributing to perfecting the criteria of cultural and cultural infrastructure in the process of building a sustainable new rural area.
