Dynamic Youth Union cadres
At the Yen Hoa Commune People's Committee headquarters, people are familiar with the scene of Head of the Department of Culture and Society Lo Thi Dai Trang (born in 1990) busy with work. Whenever someone comes to do a transaction, Ms. Trang always takes the time to guide them enthusiastically and thoughtfully. She shared: "Most of the villagers here rarely go out to meet strangers and do business transactions, so they are not used to it. I have to give very specific instructions so that people can understand."

Although she graduated with a degree in Pedagogy, Ms. Lo Thi Dai Trang was still involved in the Youth Union. In 2015, after graduating from university, Ms. Trang returned to her hometown and was elected as Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Tam Dinh commune (old). After that, she moved to her husband's hometown and continued to work as Deputy Secretary, then Secretary of the Youth Union of Yen Hoa commune.
As the “leader” of the Youth Union, Lo Thi Dai Trang has devoted all her enthusiasm and creativity to her work, promoting the youth movement, contributing to the local socio -economic development. Among them, the initiative “Youth Union participates in building a community tourism model associated with new rural construction” must be mentioned.
The ancient Yen Hoa land was the center of Xieng Men region with unique cultural features, and still preserves many unique cultural beauties, imbued with Thai ethnic identity. Including customs, folk songs, folk dances, traditional crafts, culinary culture, costumes, stilt house architecture... are attractive humanistic tourism resources that can be exploited to develop community tourism.
With the support of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations, Yen Hoa commune has made efforts to develop community tourism associated with preserving and promoting national cultural values. Secretary of the Commune Youth Union Lo Thi Dai Trang is an active person in promoting propaganda and promoting the image and tourism potential of the locality; contributing to the successful construction of two destinations: the Sang Le forest stopover (Yen Tan village) and the system of nearly 50 water wheels in Cooc village.

The Youth Union has participated in building 7 commune-level youth projects associated with building community tourism models such as youth flower roads, lighting lines, bamboo bridges, building garbage pits, etc.; established and operated a tourist guide and service club, built 3 agricultural farms to provide clean food for restaurants in the area; built 4 restaurants, 1 homestay managed by the Youth Union.
With this tourism model, tourists will visit brocade weaving villages, bamboo and rattan weaving, experience weaving, knitting, see local products, enjoy ethnic dishes and sleep in stilt houses to welcome the morning in the dawn, ... In addition, tourists can also enjoy special performances, folk songs and dances of ethnic people in colorful costumes, experience local production activities such as harvesting rice, visiting fairs, and dancing.
Many meaningful activities
With her active and effective work, Ms. Trang was recognized by the leaders and people of Yen Hoa commune. In August 2024, she was elected by the People's Council as Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune. Taking on the new task, she continued to promote her capacity and strengths, advising her superiors to effectively implement policies and strategies, contributing to ensuring social security.

One of the outstanding contributions of the young female Vice Chairwoman of Yen Hoa commune is to advise and launch the movement “Drum of Studying” in the whole commune. The movement is organized to create the best learning environment for students, raise awareness of parents in caring, creating conditions and reminding their children to self-study and practice at home.
At the same time, strengthen close coordination between families, schools and the whole society in student management, improve teaching quality, manage students outside of school hours, and minimize social evils. Accordingly, at the prescribed time, the Management Board of each village will beat the drum to signal, and parents will create conditions to remind their children to study.

The school has the responsibility to coordinate with organizations to inspect the implementation in each family and village. Thanks to that, learning discipline is maintained, and students' learning results are significantly improved.
In addition, Ms. Trang also advised on the implementation of the "Winter of Love" program, calling on and mobilizing individuals and groups to donate and give gifts to poor households and poor students who have overcome difficulties, reaching nearly 2 billion VND (including cash, necessities, books, school supplies) for the people of Yen Hoa commune.

From July 1, 2025, implementing the policy of merging the two communes of Yen Hoa and Yen Thang (old) into Yen Hoa commune, Ms. Lo Thi Dai Trang was assigned to hold the position of Head of the Department of Culture - Society. Despite many surprises and a large workload and pressure, Ms. Trang always tries to complete her tasks well and devotes herself to her new job.
Comrade Lo Thi Dai Trang is a young, capable, well-trained cadre, always enthusiastic and creative in her work, making many contributions to the development of the locality. During her work, she has been recognized by all levels and sectors with many titles, notably the Ly Tu Trong Award from the Central Youth Union. She is honored to be a typical example to attend the 2025 Nghe An Provincial Patriotic Emulation Congress.
