As part of the 2026 agricultural extension program, the Quang Ninh Center for Agricultural Extension and Forest Protection and Development Management, in coordination with the People's Committee of Luong Minh commune, recently provided bee colonies and supplies to households participating in the model "Honeybee farming linked to the protection of protective and special-use forests".
The model was implemented on a scale of 100 bee colonies, involving 5 participating households. The bee colonies were carefully selected, and the queen bees were bred using artificial insemination to ensure genetic quality, growth potential, and good adaptation to local natural conditions.

Beekeeping supplies such as hives, frames, and care tools are inspected and verified to meet the correct type and technical standards before being handed over to the people. Participating households receive 100% financial support for bee larvae and essential supplies. They also receive training in beekeeping techniques, disease prevention and control, and bee colony management in a safe and sustainable manner.
According to assessments by specialized agencies, the model is suitable for the ecological conditions and economic development orientation under the forest canopy of the locality. Luong Minh commune has a large area of natural and protective forests, diverse flora, and abundant forest flowers, creating favorable conditions for the stable development of beekeeping and producing high-quality honey.
Besides bringing economic benefits, the model also contributes to raising awareness of forest management, protection, and development among local communities. By creating sustainable livelihoods under the forest canopy, people gain stable income, thereby limiting activities that negatively impact forest resources and the ecological environment.
Participating households committed to strictly adhering to technical procedures, caring for bee colonies according to the instructions of professional staff, and actively cooperating with local authorities in forest protection efforts.
The handover of bee colonies and supplies is also a practical activity in response to World Bee Day, contributing to raising community awareness about the role of bees in the ecosystem and sustainable agricultural development.
