Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated that the market for computing processors and data centers the company is targeting is expected to be worth approximately $200 billion in the future, including China – a crucial market with significant demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Nvidia expects to be able to provide more computing power to this market, amid the growing demand for data processing for artificial intelligence.
Mr. Huang also confirmed that Nvidia's H200 AI chip has been licensed for export to China. However, he did not provide details about the quantity or delivery time.
Recently, semiconductor giant Nvidia announced record quarterly revenue of $81.6 billion, far exceeding Wall Street's forecasts thanks to massive and unceasing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) hardware.
Nvidia's business results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 (ending April 26) marked a surge of 85% year-on-year and a 20% increase compared to the previous quarter. Net profit during the same period more than tripled, reaching $58.3 billion compared to $18.8 billion in the same period last year. This information further solidifies Nvidia's position as a major beneficiary of the global AI infrastructure development.
The main driver of this impressive growth came from the data center segment – which specializes in supplying processing chips for AI systems of global technology giants. Revenue from this segment, including key graphics processing units (GPUs), reached a record high of $75.2 billion, up 92% year-on-year.
Originally designed to handle high-speed video game graphics, Nvidia has now transformed its GPUs into the "engines" that power AI. This strategic shift has propelled the company to become the world's most valuable company by market capitalization.
Despite Wall Street speculation about a potential slowdown in AI spending, Nvidia's business continues to grow. Since its February 2026 earnings report, the company has announced a $10 billion investment in AI firm Anthropic, a large-scale deal with Meta involving millions of Blackwell and Rubin GPUs, and a commitment from cloud platform provider CoreWeave to build 5 gigawatt (GW) AI factories by 2030.
