NVIDIA partners to establish AI Data Center in Vietnam.

The Vietnamese government and NVIDIA Corporation (USA) signed an agreement to cooperate in establishing an NVIDIA Artificial Intelligence (AI) Research and Development Center and an AI Data Center in Vietnam.
On the afternoon of December 5th in Hanoi , Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held a working meeting with Mr. Jensen Huang, founder and chairman of NVIDIA Corporation, and witnessed the signing ceremony of an agreement between the Vietnamese Government and NVIDIA Corporation on cooperation to establish an NVIDIA AI Research and Development Center and an AI Data Center in Vietnam.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and NVIDIA Chairman Jensen Huang witnessed the signing and exchange of agreements between Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, representing the Vietnamese Government, and Mr. Jay Puri, Executive Vice President for Global Operations at NVIDIA.

The Prime Minister assessed the cooperation agreement between NVIDIA and the Vietnamese Government, signed just over a year after the Prime Minister's visit to NVIDIA in the US (September 2023), as a significant milestone demonstrating Chairman Jensen Huang's strong determination and commitment to making Vietnam "Nvidia's second home." Looking ahead, the Prime Minister proposed that the two sides cooperate in AI research and development to create a new workforce based on Vietnamese AI, with the cooperation of NVIDIA, and suggested several specific directions. Accordingly, NVIDIA will continue to advise Vietnam on developing this field in line with contemporary trends and Vietnam's conditions, circumstances, and cultural and historical traditions; cooperate in developing AI infrastructure; and cooperate in developing AI for the exploitation of underwater, marine, and outer space. Cooperation aims to promote the startup movement, innovation, and especially inspire the younger generation... The Prime Minister requested NVIDIA Corporation to continue to closely coordinate with the National Innovation Center, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and leading technology companies and top technical universities in Vietnam. The Vietnamese Government is committed to creating the most favorable conditions for the effective implementation of cooperation between the two sides, bringing practical benefits to both sides in the spirit of "harmonious benefits, shared risks," "listening together, understanding together; sharing vision and action together; working together, winning together, developing businesses and developing the country together; sharing joy, happiness and pride." NVIDIA Chairman Jensen Huang affirmed that AI is a new technology that is changing the data of all countries. Data must be considered a national resource, and Vietnam needs to process its own data and transform this data into Vietnamese AI for Vietnamese industries and society. "Collaborative efforts are helping us build a strong AI future for Vietnam. Vietnam's strong encouragement and support for this field will be a major boost to building an AI ecosystem for Vietnam. NVIDIA and I will be your partners and friends every step of the way in AI," said Jensen Huang. According to Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, NVIDIA's support in the AI field will help Vietnam not only achieve its development goals in the high-tech industry in general, and the AI field in particular, but also contribute to promoting the entire Southeast Asian region as a destination for innovation.
