Give top priority to reviewing for the 12th grade exam.

Over 23,000 12th-grade students across Thai Nguyen province are focusing on the final stages of revision, preparing for the 2026 high school graduation exam. Schools are concentrating intensely on consolidating knowledge and test-taking skills, helping students feel confident for this important exam.

Recently, the Thai Nguyen Department of Education and Training conducted a quality assessment of 12th-grade students to familiarize them with the exam format of the Ministry of Education and Training, while also training them in necessary skills and effective exam-taking methods.

After organizing two mock exams, the Thai Nguyen Department of Education and Training assessed the results and directed schools to continue strengthening their educational plans, prioritizing preparation for the high school graduation exam and diversifying review methods.

Mr. Dao Xuan Tan, Deputy Director of the Thai Nguyen Department of Education and Training, said that the local education sector has focused on diversifying teaching methods and approaches, combining in-person and online learning, promoting the proactive role of students, and utilizing educational technology. “The sector also emphasizes promoting the quality of student learning through individualized and differentiated instruction; enhancing the role of the professional council, especially the specialists in charge of subjects and units,” Mr. Dao Xuan Tan stressed.

In that spirit, schools have implemented the 12th-grade review program in a coordinated manner, closely following the practical situation of each school. “We have categorized students according to their abilities to develop appropriate review plans. The school assigns experienced teachers to supervise the exam preparation classes, while also strengthening coordination with parents in managing and motivating students to study. Recently, teachers have been focusing on reviewing according to the sample exam questions provided by the Ministry of Education and Training, while also regularly providing encouragement to students,” said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Kien, Deputy Principal of Ba Be High School.

Staying close to the needs of students.

Entering the 2025-2026 school year, the Thai Nguyen Department of Education and Training has directed schools to develop educational plans and organize their implementation in a flexible and proactive manner. Based on this, schools in the area have proactively implemented teaching methods and organizational forms suitable to their specific characteristics and circumstances, with a focus on closely adhering to the specific review needs of students.

At Chu Van An High School, this is the time when 12th graders have just finished their curriculum and are dedicating all their time to focusing on revision. Mr. Pham Ba Huan, the school principal, explained: "With 356 12th-grade students, they not only revise according to their registered classes, but also receive additional group revision sessions arranged by teachers if necessary for reinforcement; all revision work is completely free, based on the spirit of mutual effort between teachers and students."

“Our team collectively collected practice questions, reinforced students' practice sessions, provided feedback, and shared lessons learned. The review process requires great perseverance, especially focusing on specific topics and building a strong vocabulary foundation,” shared English teacher Doan Kieu Dung.

Student Doan Hai Nam, from class 12A2, said: “Besides the compulsory core subjects, our group registered for review sessions in the natural sciences. These supplementary review sessions, conducted in groups, help us practice exam questions in a more realistic way, broadening and deepening our knowledge.”

The school administration stated that the review sessions are closely aligned with students' needs and registrations. In addition to classroom review, teachers are also providing flexible supplementary tutoring for students who require it through various methods such as group work, assigning and correcting assignments via the OLM system, etc.

Teacher Nguyen Thi Thung, of Literature, happily shared: “Our department has been allocated two extra lessons on Saturdays to practice essay writing for students. Their skills have improved significantly, and the results are very practical.”

Confident in his revision and preparation, Pham Quoc Bao, a student in class 12A1, expressed: “Thanks to the teachers’ review and reinforcement during the revision sessions, I feel more secure in my knowledge and test-taking skills. We were quite focused, but not overly stressed or anxious.”
