Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut received the decision to become Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City.

On the morning of October 16, Mr. Phan Van Mai, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, presided over the ceremony to hand over the decision to receive and appoint Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut, Director of the Department of Culture and Arts (Central Propaganda Department), to hold the position of Deputy Director of the City Department of Culture and Sports (VH&TT). The event was attended by Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.

According to the decision, Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut was accepted and appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City. The term of office is 5 years.

In his speech assigning the task, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee said that Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut has grown up and worked in many positions in Ho Chi Minh City. After working in the Central Government, returning to Ho Chi Minh City will help Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut have more conditions to contribute his efforts.

The head of the city government hopes that Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut will strive to complete his tasks well and stick with the leadership of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Phan Van Mai also requested that the Board of Directors of the Department of Culture and Sports of the city soon meet to assign tasks so that Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut can get to work right away.

"Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut grew up in Ho Chi Minh City, so it won't take him long to get up to speed with the job. However, we need to do it as quickly as possible to promote the cultural industry to become the foundation and driving force for development," Mr. Phan Van Mai emphasized.

During his 5 years as Head of the Department of Culture and Art, Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut has achieved many results as expected by the leaders of the Central Propaganda Department.

Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy hopes that when Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut returns to Ho Chi Minh City, he will promote his existing experience and achievements, combined with specific actions to help the locality achieve even better results in the fields of culture and sports.

"Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut advised the leaders of the Central Propaganda Department to advise the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat on many issues related to culture and arts. This included the national cultural conference held in 2021, which has had a ripple effect to this day," said the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.

On October 14, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, handed over the decision to transfer Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut to work at the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, appointing him to the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut was born in 1975, his hometown is Ben Tre province. Mr. Nhut has a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Bachelor's degree in Political Science, and Advanced degree in Political Theory.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut has held the position of Director of the Department of Culture and Arts (Central Propaganda Department) since August 2019. Previously, he was Editor-in-Chief, Director, Vice Chairman of the Board of Members of Tre Publishing House LLC (Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union).

Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut was a member of the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union, Head of the Ideology and Culture Committee of the City Youth Union, Head of the City Youth Union Front Committee, and member of the Editorial Board of Tuoi Tre newspaper.
