Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut received the appointment as Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Tourism.

On the morning of October 16th, Mr. Phan Van Mai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, presided over the ceremony to present the decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut, Director of the Department of Culture and Arts (Central Propaganda Department), to the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of the city. The event was attended by Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.

According to the decision, Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut has been appointed as Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Tourism. The term of office is 5 years.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee stated that Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut has a long career and has held many positions in Ho Chi Minh City. After working at the central government, returning to Ho Chi Minh City will provide Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut with many opportunities to contribute his skills.

The head of the city government expressed his hope that Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut would strive to successfully complete his duties and remain committed to the leadership team of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Tourism. Mr. Phan Van Mai also requested that the Board of Directors of the Department of Culture and Tourism hold a meeting soon to assign tasks so that Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut can immediately begin his work.

"Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut grew up in Ho Chi Minh City, so it won't take him long to get up to speed with the work. However, we need to act as quickly and as soon as possible to promote the cultural sector as a foundation and driving force for development," Mr. Phan Van Mai emphasized.

Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, shared that Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut is an enthusiastic, outstanding, and dedicated individual in the field of literature and art. During his five years as Director of the Department of Culture and Arts, Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut achieved many results as desired by the leadership of the Central Propaganda Department.

Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy expressed his hope that upon returning to Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut would leverage his experience and achievements, linking them to concrete actions to help the locality achieve even better results in the fields of culture and sports.

"Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut advised the leaders of the Central Propaganda Department to advise the Central Committee, the Politburo , and the Secretariat on many issues related to culture and arts. This included the national cultural conference held in 2021, and its impact continues to this day," said the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.

On October 14th, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, handed over the decision to transfer Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut to work at the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, appointing him as Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut was born in 1975 and hails from Ben Tre province. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, and a Senior Certificate in Political Theory.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut has held the position of Director of the Department of Culture and Arts (Central Propaganda Department) since August 2019. Prior to that, he was the Editor-in-Chief, Director, and Vice Chairman of the Board of Members of Tre Publishing House Co., Ltd. (Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union).

Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut was formerly a member of the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union, Head of the Ideology and Culture Department of the City Youth Union, Head of the City Youth Union's Front Committee, and a member of the editorial board of Tuoi Tre newspaper.
