Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung presented the appointment decision of two Consuls General.

On the afternoon of November 3, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung presented the decision to appoint the head of Vietnam's representative agency abroad.

Accordingly, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung presented the decision to appoint Ms. Nghiem Viet Chung, senior expert, Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel, to hold the position of Consul General of Vietnam in Kunming (China).

Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung presented the decision to appoint Mr. Tran Huy Hung, senior specialist, Deputy Director of the Northeast Asia Department, to hold the position of Consul General of Vietnam in Shanghai (China).

Congratulating Ms. Nghiem Viet Chung and Mr. Tran Huy Hung on their new assignments, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung asked the two new Consuls General to further promote the bilateral relationship as well as local cooperation between Vietnam and China.

Emphasizing that this is an area with much potential to be exploited, contributing to promoting the relationship between the two countries, the Minister requested that the representative agencies need to be proactive, sensitive, and coordinate well with relevant units to closely monitor the situation, thereby promptly advising superior leaders.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs asked the new Vietnamese Consul General in Kunming and the new Vietnamese Consul General in Shanghai to actively innovate, build a united representative agency, do good Party work, and well implement the directives of the Party and State leaders.

At the decision-making ceremony, Ms. Nghiem Viet Chung and Mr. Tran Huy Hung thanked the Ministry's leaders for their trust and promised to best implement the instructions of the Party Central Committee Secretary, the Ministry's Party Committee Secretary, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung, thereby contributing to the country's foreign affairs and further promoting the good Vietnam-China relationship.
