Speaking at the reception, Mr. Nguyen Phu Binh, Vice President of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association, expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in the Kansai region.
Mr. Nguyen Phu Binh shared that he and many members of the Association, such as Mr. Doan Xuan Hung and Mr. Nguyen Truong Son, had worked in Japan, so they always deeply felt the close friendship between the two peoples.
“Currently, the relationship between the two countries is at its highest level, within the framework of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership,” Mr. Nguyen Phu Binh emphasized.
The Vice President also expressed his gratitude for the persistent and effective support that the Japanese government and people have given to Vietnam over the years, especially in difficult times of natural disasters, socio-economic development, as well as within the framework of international cooperation. At the same time, he highly appreciated the role of Japanese enterprises, organizations and individuals, including many members of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in the Kansai region, who have contributed to promoting investment, people-to-people exchange and supporting the Vietnamese community in Japan.

On the Japanese side, Mr. Nishimura Teiichi, Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in the Kansai region, expressed his gratitude for Vietnam's warm welcome. He sent his best wishes to the Vietnamese people to soon overcome the consequences of natural disasters in the Central region, and shared that the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in the Kansai region has a history of more than 30 years of formation and development, closely associated with the establishment of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Osaka.
Mr. Nishimura emphasized that over the past three decades, the Association has always strived to act as a bridge for exchange and cooperation between localities, businesses and people of the two countries. The President believes that in the context of the bilateral relationship being upgraded to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, economic, cultural and people-to-people exchange activities will continue to be expanded and deepened, contributing to building an increasingly sustainable and long-lasting Vietnam-Japan relationship.
Referring to the Osaka World Expo 2025, Mr. Nishimura highly appreciated the prominent presence of the Vietnamese booth, attracting a large number of visitors and contributing to promoting the image and culture of Vietnam to the people of the cherry blossom country. Accordingly, in the coming time, the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in the Kansai region will continue to closely coordinate with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka in organizing the Vietnam Festival - an annual cultural event that is expected by local people.

At the reception, the delegates highly appreciated the valuable contributions of the two Friendship Associations to the people-to-people relations between the two countries in many people-to-people diplomacy activities and cultural exchanges, and believed that the relationship between the two Associations would become increasingly sustainable and closer.
The reception took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, clearly demonstrating the determination of both sides to continue promoting the role of people's organizations in promoting understanding, cooperation and solidarity between the people of Vietnam and Japan.
