On the afternoon of February 27, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province held a conference to announce the decision on personnel work. The Standing Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee transferred and appointed Mr. Nguyen Van Da, member of the Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ba Ria - Vung Tau was established on the basis of merging the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the province. The Deputy Directors of the Department include: Mr. Nguyen Thai Sinh, Mr. Pham Quoc Dang, Mr. Do Minh Tuan, Ms. Pham Thi Na and Mr. Phan Van Manh.
The Department has 6 divisions (4 divisions reduced) and other organizations: Office for coordinating the national target program on new rural construction, Office of the Standing Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue; 3 sub-departments (4 sub-departments reduced), 3 public service units (7 units reduced). The total number of positions assigned in 2025 is 343 positions.
Mr. Nguyen Van Da (born in 1970), graduated from the People's Police University. He held the positions of Chief of Chau Duc District Police and Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee. Mr. Da was appointed to the position of Chief Inspector of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province from September 2020. On November 2, 2024, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee transferred and appointed Mr. Nguyen Van Da to the position of Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
Also at the Conference, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee assigned Mr. Tran Van Tuan, Secretary of the Ba Ria City Party Committee, to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial People's Council; assigned and appointed Mr. Tran Tuan Linh, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, to hold the position of Secretary of the Ba Ria City Party Committee; assigned Mr. Le Hoang Hai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, to hold the position of Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; assigned Ms. Vo Ngoc Thanh Truc, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.
Mr. Le Ngoc Linh, Provincial Party Committee member, was transferred to hold the position of Director of the Department of Construction. Deputy Directors of the Department include Mr./Ms. Mai Trung Hung, Duong Thao Hien, Khai Quoc Binh, Nguyen Do Hai Thuan, Le Dinh Son.
Decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Hoang Vu Thanh to the position of Director of the Department of Finance. Deputy Directors of the Department include Mr./Ms. Tran Thuy Cam Le, Truong Tan Vu, Nguyen Thi Minh Van, Truong Kim Tan, Nguyen Thanh Trung, Ta Thanh Nhan.
Decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Pham Thanh Chung, Provincial Party Committee member, to hold the position of Director of the Department of Home Affairs. Deputy Directors of the Department are Mr./Ms. Nguyen Tan Phong, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Yen, Dinh Thi Truc My.
Decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Vu Hong Thuan to hold the position of Acting Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Deputy Directors of the Department are Mr./Ms. Nguyen Minh Triet, Tran Thi Thu Hien, Do Phuoc Trung.
Decision to transfer and appoint Ms. Luong Thi Le Hang, Provincial Party Committee member, to hold the position of Director of the Department of Science and Technology. Deputy Directors of the Department are Mr./Ms. Truong Huu Chien, Le Viet Trung, Nguyen Ky.
Decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Van Dong, Provincial Party Committee member, to hold the position of Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions. Deputy Directors of the Department are Mr./Ms. Ta Minh Phong, Duong Van Hanh.
