Goalkeeper Patrik Le Giang shares his first thoughts when coming to Ho Chi Minh City Club
"I think everyone at Ho Chi Minh City FC knows the current position of the team. Our main goal is to stay in the league, so I believe everyone will try their best. I came here to help the team achieve that goal, and I will try to contribute to the team both on and off the field" - Patrik Le Giang said about the ability to compete for a playing position at Ho Chi Minh City FC.

Patrik Le Giang joined Ho Chi Minh City FC on loan until the end of phase 2 of V-League 2023. He will play for the Thong Nhat Stadium team in 5 matches and has the task of helping the team win a ticket to stay in the league this season.
Patrik Le Giang shared about his choice to join Ho Chi Minh City FC: "Everything happened a bit too quickly, but I could feel the positive energy of the team. From the moment I stepped into the team headquarters, I received a warm welcome from everyone. I feel that Ho Chi Minh City FC is a good environment, everyone is great, the facilities are impressive. Even though I have only been here for 3 hours, I feel it is easy to communicate with everyone. Everyone is very professional and I am happy with my decision to move to this team."
Joining Ho Chi Minh City Club, the Vietnamese-American goalkeeper will have to compete with 3 other teammates, especially Thanh Thang.
Talking about the reason for returning to Vietnam, the Vietnamese-Slovak goalkeeper said that returning to Vietnam is one of the big goals in his career and life. "I am a Vietnamese-Slovak, I am proud to have Vietnamese blood. Besides, my father's dream is to see me contribute to this beautiful country. I have a dream of playing for the Vietnamese national team" - goalkeeper Patrik said.
After more than half a year in Vietnam, goalkeeper Patrick talked about Vietnamese football: "I have been in Vietnam for about 6 and a half months. I still have to get used to many things, but the time is enough to help me understand how Vietnamese football operates. Everything is very different from Europe, but in general, V-League is a highly competitive tournament with good quality players. The teams all prepare carefully for the matches, and that is also a challenge for me when playing on the field."
Ho Chi Minh City Club players practice in heavy rain
Despite the heavy rain, coach Vu Tien Thanh still asked his players to continue practicing. According to the strategist from Ho Chi Minh City, this is an opportunity for the players to get used to the pace of exercise in this weather when the whole country is entering the rainy season.
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City Club has finished the first phase of V-League 2023 with the 13th/14th position in the rankings. Coach Vu Tien Thanh and his team have won 8 points and are competing for relegation with Binh Duong Club (7 points, 14th place) and Da Nang (10 points, 12th place).
