In order to improve operational efficiency, in line with the development orientation of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group ( Petrovietnam ) in the new period, the General Director of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) has just decided to establish new departments and reorganize the departments/offices in the supporting apparatus.
Specifically, Petrovietnam will establish a new Risk Management and Compliance Monitoring (RRM) Department. The RRM Department has the function of advising and assisting the Group's leaders on risk management, compliance monitoring, inspection, anti-corruption, national security and defense of the Group's parent company and the Group. The RRM Department will consist of 4 departments: Upstream RR Department, Midstream and Downstream RR Department, General RR Department and Compliance Monitoring Department.

At the same time, reorganize the Technology - Safety & Environment Board into 2 boards: Science, Technology & Digital Transformation Board (KHCN) and Safety, Environment & Sustainable Development Board (ATMT).
The Science and Technology Department has the function of advising and assisting the Group's leaders in science and technology, innovation, information technology, and digital transformation of the parent company and the Group. The Department will consist of 3 departments: Science and Technology Department, Information Technology Department, and Digital Transformation Department.
The ATMT Board has the function of advising and assisting the Group's leaders on occupational safety and health; environmental protection; emergency response; and sustainable development of the parent company and the Group. The Board will consist of 4 departments, including: Occupational Safety & Health Department, Environmental Protection Department, Sustainable Development Department and Emergency Situations Office.
In addition, the names, functions, and tasks of the departments, offices, and divisions in the Group's parent company's support apparatus will be adjusted. Specifically, the name of the Inspectorate Legal Department will be changed to the Legal and Bidding Management Department (PCDT). The functions, tasks, and divisions performing inspection, anti-corruption, and national security work of the PCDT Department will be transferred to the QTRR Department.
Dissolve the Inspection and Supervision Department in the Finance and Accounting Department. Transfer tasks related to financial risk management and financial compliance monitoring of the Inspection and Supervision Department to the Risk Management Department and divide the remaining tasks of the Inspection and Supervision Department to other Departments in the Finance and Accounting Department.
For the Group Office, transfer functions, tasks, and departments performing information technology, digital transformation, and ERP to the Science and Technology Department. The Electricity and Renewable Energy Department transfers the focal points for the Group's energy transition work and the focal points for the Renewable Energy Department's energy efficiency and conservation work to the Energy Safety Department.
Heads of the Risk Management Board, Science and Technology Board, Safety and Environment Board, Investment Protection Board, Finance - Accounting Board, Electricity & Renewable Energy Board, and Office are responsible for complying with relevant personnel transfer decisions, rearranging the organization and personnel structure of the Boards/Offices/departments in accordance with the prescribed functions, tasks, and organizational structure; Building/adjusting the tasks of the departments in the Boards/Offices and reporting to the General Director for approval and promulgation.
The Group's Risk Management Team will be dissolved from November 1, 2024 when this Decision takes effect.
