At Ho Thi Ky High School (An Xuyen Ward), the first flag-raising ceremony of the new school year took place in a solemn atmosphere. The national flag fluttered against the blue sky, and the resounding singing of the national anthem awakened a sense of pride, instilled a spirit of responsibility, and inspired the determination of teachers and students to strive for excellence.

This school year, the school has 3,876 students in 87 classes across both junior and senior high school levels. Nguyen Quang Khoi, a student in class 12A7, shared: “Entering our final year, we clearly see the responsibility and pressure. Today's first lesson gave us a feeling of a new beginning filled with determination. I hope to receive support and guidance from the teachers so that I can prepare as best as possible for the important exam ahead.”

Speaking at the flag-raising ceremony, Mr. Chau Van Tuy, the school principal, said: “Every school week begins with the flag-raising ceremony – where we reflect, learn from experience, and set new goals. Today is especially significant because it is the first flag-raising ceremony of the school year. I hope that you, especially the 12th-grade students, will demonstrate initiative, unity, and effort to achieve good results in your studies and personal development.”

After the ceremony, the students returned to their classrooms in high spirits. The first lessons were conducted in a relaxed yet meaningful manner, helping them quickly adapt to the routines and fostering a spirit of healthy competition in learning from the very first day.

For first-grade students, today's lesson is an unforgettable milestone. Some were shy, others were full of excitement, but all embarked on a new journey with a mix of emotions. The first Vietnamese lesson wasn't heavy on knowledge, but was designed to create interest and joy, so that the children would love their class and school even more.

Ms. Phan Ngoc Thuy Huong, homeroom teacher of class 1A at Phan Ngoc Hien Primary School, expressed: “I always strive to make the classroom a second home for the children. I hope that every morning at school will be a joy, so that they will love their class, their friends, and their teacher from their very first steps.”

In Phuoc Long commune, from early morning, the roads leading to schools were bustling with parents dropping off their children. From preschool and primary school children to secondary and high school students, everyone had memorable moments on their first day of school.
