'John Wick' sequel is in the works at Lionsgate

John Wick Part 5 is not available on a network or streaming service. The film, called John Wick: Under the High Table, is a sequel to John Wick: Chapter 4, which hit theaters in March 2023.

Keanu Reeves continues to star in part 5 of John Wick

The new film information states: "John Wick has left the High Table and a new group of characters will seek to make a name for themselves while some of the franchise's loyalists remain committed to the old world order. The film will combine the new and the old, bringing the John Wick universe into a new era."

Keanu Reeves will executive produce the film alongside Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, with Robert Levine serving as writer, showrunner and producer. Chad Stahelski is directing. Lionsgate has distributed all of the John Wick films to date.

John Wick: Chapter 4 grossed $440 million worldwide

The first John Wick film was released in 2014, with the fourth installment hitting theaters in 2023. A fifth film is in development, while the spin-off John Wick Presents: Ballerina starring Ana de Armas is expected to hit theaters in 2025.

All four John Wick films have grossed more than $1 billion worldwide after the fourth film grossed $440 million worldwide. The fourth film grossed more than the previous three, with the first film in 2014 grossing a modest $87.8 million, the second in 2017 grossing $171.5 million, and the third in 2019 grossing $326.7 million.
