Reacting to the referee, Quang Nam coach was fined

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Disciplinary Board decided to fine Mr. Van Sy Son VND5 million and suspend him from duty for 2 matches. The head coach of Quang Nam club reacted to the referee in the match against Hanoi Police team in round 13 of V.League 2024-2025 which took place on February 15 at Hang Day Stadium.

Mr. Van Sy Son is not allowed to participate in directing Quang Nam Club in the match of round 11 (make-up match) on February 19 and round 14 on February 23. The opponent of this team in both matches is Thanh Hoa .

Coach Van Sy Son disagreed with the referee's decisions in the match between Hanoi Police Club and Quang Nam. The coach from Nghe An reacted strongly, especially when the away team conceded a goal in the last minute of extra time. Coach Van Sy Son picked up a water bottle and smashed it on the ground.

In this situation, the Hanoi Police Club player collided with the opponent and won the ball before passing to Alan to score the equalizer 4-4. Coach Van Sy Son said that this was a foul by the home team player.

In the press conference after the match, Quang Nam's head coach criticized the referee.

Mr. Van Sy Son said: "VAR must give the most accurate assessment of the goal or the penalty card. This is a foul situation. To be fair, I do not respect this man in black. We had previously made a complaint in the match against Song Lam Nghe An, but it seems the head of the referee committee did not hear it .

I am very upset with the referee today. We are trying to create new vitality because we have accepted to pursue the game. However, if the referee problem continues like this, football will go downhill."
