Quang Nam coach fined for reacting to referee's decision.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has decided to fine Mr. Van Sy Son 5 million VND and suspend him from duty for 2 matches. The head coach of Quang Nam club reacted negatively to the referee during the match against Hanoi Police team in Round 13 of the V.League 2024-2025, which took place on February 15th at Hang Day Stadium.

Mr. Van Sy Son was not allowed to coach Quang Nam FC in the rescheduled matches of Round 11 on February 19th and Round 14 on February 23rd. The team's opponent in both matches was Thanh Hoa .

Coach Van Sy Son disagreed with the referee's decisions in the match between Hanoi Police FC and Quang Nam FC. The coach from Nghe An reacted strongly, especially when the visiting team conceded a goal in the final minute of added time. Coach Van Sy Son grabbed a water bottle and slammed it forcefully to the ground.

In this situation, a Hanoi Police FC player collided with an opponent and gained possession before passing to Alan, who scored the equalizer, making the score 4-4. Coach Van Sy Son believes this was a foul committed by the home team's player.

In the post-match press conference, the head coach of Quang Nam criticized the referee.

Mr. Van Sy Son said: "VAR must provide the most accurate assessment of goals or yellow cards. This was a foul. To be fair, I don't respect this referee. We had previously submitted a complaint regarding the match against Song Lam Nghe An, but it seems the head of the referee committee didn't hear it ."

I am very upset with the referee today. We are trying to revitalize ourselves by committing to the game. However, if the refereeing continues like this, football will decline."
