Phat Dat participates in Lotte's investment project in Thu Thiem.

On the afternoon of May 20th, Phat Dat Real Estate Development Joint Stock Company (PDR) sought shareholder approval in writing for an investment project with a projected value exceeding 35% of the company's total assets.

Immediately following this news, the market linked it to Lotte Properties HCMC's Thu Thiem Eco Smart City project in the Thu Thiem new urban area. Previously, many sources indicated that Phat Dat was among the companies participating in the selection process for a strategic investor to acquire approximately 35% of the capital for this project.

According to market estimates, Thu Thiem Eco Smart City has a total investment of approximately 50,000 billion VND. If Phat Dat participates with a stake of around 35%, the capital it needs to commit could reach 17,500 billion VND, a figure corresponding to the scale of investment that the company is seeking shareholder approval for.

For many years, the Thu Thiem new urban area has been considered the highest-standard "playground" in the Vietnamese real estate market, not only because of the value of the land but also because of the very high requirements for financial capacity, legal compliance, and long-term operational capabilities.

The Thu Thiem Eco Smart City project has gained another investor: Phat Dat.

Phat Dat will participate as a capital investor, partnering with Lotte in an iconic project for Ho Chi Minh City's future financial center. This has significant brand implications.

In the eyes of the market, participating in the investment structure of Thu Thiem Eco Smart City means that the company has joined the group of partners capable of collaborating with international corporations on regional-scale projects.

Therefore, this is no longer just a story about project development, but also demonstrates the capacity to participate in structures with significantly higher international standards.

From a financial perspective, the Thu Thiem Eco Smart City project is highly attractive. Thu Thiem is currently one of the few remaining prime central land plots in Ho Chi Minh City suitable for developing large-scale, high-standard projects.

With the rapid development of infrastructure in the East of Ho Chi Minh City and the construction of an international administrative and financial center there, the value of projects in Thu Thiem is projected to continue increasing in the long term.
