Launching the campaign "Send Tet gifts"

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society officially launched the "Sending Tet Gifts" campaign nationwide from December 24, 2023. This is the most official and largest community fundraising campaign in the country, calling on philanthropists, organizations and businesses at home and abroad to pay attention to the disadvantaged people, continuing the nation's tradition of "Helping the needy" through the creative and transparent form of Sending Tet Gifts - Contributing Tet.

The program's goal is to provide material and spiritual support to 1.2 million poor people, people in difficult circumstances, and vulnerable people in society.

Sending Tet gifts is a campaign under the "Humanitarian Tet" movement organized annually by the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee and the Red Cross system in 63 provinces and cities. "Humanitarian Tet" innovates the form of material and spiritual assistance so that the poor, people in difficult circumstances, and vulnerable people can enjoy spring and celebrate Tet on the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year of the nation.

The activities of the “Humane Tet” Movement are designed to ensure the participation and decision-making rights of beneficiaries; respect the cultural practices and traditions of local people; promote the support network in the community so that all people can demonstrate their social responsibility towards the poor and disadvantaged by participating in the organization and contributing available resources.

Nowadays, with the support of technology, in addition to traditional methods, sending gifts has become more convenient and easier. Wanting to send Tet gifts to their compatriots, millions of kind-hearted Vietnamese people can text, transfer money, shop online and automatically accumulate charity funds, choose to shop for Tet at sellers that have committed to donating funds to support the campaign...

Send Tet gifts by sending a message

All Vietnamese citizens using mobile phones can compose a message with the syntax TET and send it to 1409 via Portal 1400 (fee 20,000/message). An action of no more than 30 seconds from you has helped a family have a pair of Chung cakes, a box of Tet jam. The kindness from the community will add strength, faith and hope to the less fortunate in society.

Send Tet gifts to fellow countrymen through transparent transfers

Vietnamese citizens can send Tet gifts to poor households in their hometown by transferring any amount of money:

Send Tet gifts thanks to online Tet shopping

Using the form of voluntary shopping, when shopping for Tet online, we can support the refunds to the Tet Gift Contribution Campaign. Specifically:

- Download the Charity app on your smartphone and register for an account

- Access the charity shopping portal in the upper right corner of the screen

- Select the Vietnam Red Cross as the address to receive automatic fund deductions

- Online Tet shopping with hundreds of thousands of items from cooperating e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Tiki, Lazada... and famous brands.

Send Tet gifts after the year-end shipment

The Campaign Coordinating Board mobilizes businesses, business households, retailers, and online sellers to register their revenue targets for the year-end business season to send Tet gifts to the needy. Visit https://chuthapdo.vn/guiquagopTet, in the "Year-end shipment" section, and register information about the business establishment and the registered amount for the Tet business fund.

The campaign will help promote businesses with charitable actions, provide "Charity Tet Stamps" for businesses to attach to their products, and help convince people to shop for Tet from these vendors.

Through this meaningful campaign, the Organizing Unit hopes to receive the attention, support and assistance of the community. So that the poor, the disadvantaged, and the disadvantaged in society can have a warmer Tet.
