On April 13, Mr. Luu Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of Nha Trang City People's Committee, said that the City People's Committee had decided to fine Thanh Suong restaurant (Tran Phu street) nearly 21 million VND for 3 violations.

Firstly, the restaurant did not fully display the name of the production and business establishment on the signboard in accordance with the business registration certificate (the establishment hung the signboard "Nha Be" but the business registration certificate of the establishment stated the name "Thanh Suong"). Secondly, the restaurant did not notify the content, time, location of the advertisement, and the number of billboards; thirdly, the price list was unclear, causing confusion for customers.

The bill was over 8.7 million VND for nearly 12 kg of seafood for 3 people.

Specifically, account Le Thai Son said that on the evening of April 9, his Chinese boss and two friends (also Chinese) went to a seafood restaurant on Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang City to eat.

When it was time to pay, the three Chinese guests were shocked to see the bill was over VND8.7 million for nearly 12 kg of seafood. Before that, the three had dinner at another restaurant at 9:30 pm.

Specifically, according to the restaurant's bill, 2.8 kg of first-class crab costs 1.2 million VND/kg; 2 kg of flash squid costs 950,000 VND/kg; 3.5 kg of diamond clams costs 420,000 VND/kg; 3.5 kg of sea urchin costs 580,000 VND/kg.

During the meeting with the inspection team yesterday, Mr. Vu Quoc Khanh (restaurant owner) said that he met with 3 Chinese guests and Mr. Le Thai Son (the person who posted on Facebook accusing the restaurant of "overcharging") to apologize, after that everyone happily let the matter go, and Mr. Son also agreed to remove the post on Facebook.

However, Mr. Khanh said he only apologized for the service attitude of the restaurant staff, and the restaurant owner did not mention the "rip-off" content. The restaurant manager also quit after the incident.

Sharing with Thanh Nien earlier, Mr. Le Thai Son confirmed that the restaurant owner had contacted him and the Chinese guests, and the two sides met to discuss the incident yesterday afternoon.

The seafood restaurant owner admitted his mistake, apologized, took responsibility for management, and asked Mr. Son to remove the post he shared on Facebook.

According to Mr. Son, the restaurant owner also expressed the desire to compensate for the previous meal, but the Chinese guests thought it was unnecessary and ignored the matter.
