On the afternoon of August 26, at the opening ceremony of the Press Center for the 80th Anniversary of National Day (September 2), the Ministry of Science and Technology, in coordination with the Central Propaganda and Education Commission and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, held a special issuance ceremony of the postage stamp set "Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025)".

Attending the event were Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia; Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh; Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung; Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Education Nguyen Dac Vinh; Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Director of the Press Center Le Hai Binh.

The stamp set includes a stamp and a block. The stamp depicts the image of President Ho Chi Minh in a modern, simple yet sophisticated graphic art style. President Ho Chi Minh's face appears gentle, his eyes shining with faith and aspiration for independence and freedom for the nation. The dominant red and yellow colors of the National Flag further highlight the image of the great leader, the immortal symbol of patriotism, self-reliance and aspiration for peace .

The stamp block shows the national emblem and map of the Fatherland, affirming the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands, on the background of the image of a bronze drum, recalling the depth of culture and thousand-year history of the Vietnamese people.

Stamps are 32x43mm in size; Blocks are 80x100mm in size with face values of 4,000 VND and 19,000 VND. The stamp set was designed by artist Nguyen Du (Vietnam Post Corporation); supplied nationwide at provincial, municipal, central post offices, and transaction post offices from August 26, 2025 to June 30, 2027.
The postage stamp set “Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025)” not only represents the important historical milestone, the day President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, but also affirms the sovereignty, freedom, independence, solidarity, indomitable will and pride of the Vietnamese people over the past 80 years.


The stamp set also conveys a message of infinite gratitude for the great contributions of the great President Ho Chi Minh, the genius leader of the Party and the Vietnamese people, along with revolutionary predecessors and millions of heroes and martyrs who bravely fought and sacrificed for the independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Fatherland.
At the same time, the stamp set is also an affirmation that after 80 years of construction and development, the lives of Vietnamese people are increasingly prosperous and happy, the country is constantly innovating and integrating deeply, continuing to firmly enter a new era - an era of sustainable development and prosperity.
