Male body found in river while searching for girl who jumped off bridge

While searching for a 19-year-old girl suspected of jumping into the Saigon River, rescuers discovered a male body floating near the search area.

On the evening of July 31, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police, was still using specialized diving vessels to search for a 19-year-old girl suspected of jumping from Phu Long Bridge (Lai Thieu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) into the Saigon River and going missing.

At the scene, the family of HLPT (born in 2006, residing in Thuan An City, former Binh Duong ) was still worried, following the search and rescue activities of the rescue team on the Saigon River. T.'s family said that T. had just graduated from a vocational school in Ho Chi Minh City.

While searching for the girl who jumped off the bridge, the rescue team discovered the body of a young man floating in the river.

After many hours of searching, the forces still have not found any trace of the victim. It is known that on the morning of the same day, T. drove his motorbike to Phu Long bridge and left his motorbike and personal papers, then jumped into the river and disappeared. T.

During the search for T., the rescue team discovered another male body wearing a long-sleeved shirt and jeans floating in the water hyacinth, on the riverbank in An Phu Dong ward, so they organized a salvage operation and brought it to the mortuary to wait for relatives to identify and take it home for the funeral.
