Approval granted for the Secretary of Uong Bi City to become Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Province.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - On the morning of February 29th, acting on behalf of the Prime Minister, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, presented the decision appointing Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong (Secretary of the Uong Bi City Party Committee) as Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh province.

Previously, in accordance with Regulation No. 80-QD/TW dated August 18, 2022, of the Politburo on the decentralization of personnel management and the appointment and nomination of candidates for positions, the Standing Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee implemented a five-step personnel nomination process.

At the conferences, the delegates present unanimously nominated Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Council of Uong Bi City (Quang Ninh), to be elected as Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. On January 29th, at the 17th session of the 14th Provincial People's Council, the delegates voted to elect Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong as Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. As a result, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong was elected as Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term with 100% of the votes from the delegates present at the session. On February 26th, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang signed Decision 195/QD-TTg approving the election results for Mr. Nghiem Xuan Cuong as Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
