A pioneering model of a specialized healthcare fund in Vietnam that supports children from the fetal stage.
The "Phenikaa for Children" fund is built on a pioneering model of a specialized healthcare fund in Vietnam, and is also the first fund model to provide support starting from the earliest stages of human development - from embryos and fetuses to the early stages of life.

Professor Ho Xuan Nang - Chairman of Phenikaa Group, speaking at the launch ceremony of the "Phenikaa for Children" Fund.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Sim, Deputy General Director and Director of the Fetal Medicine Center at Phenikaa University Hospital, and also the Director of the Fund, stated: " In the field of maternal and child health care, many diseases, if detected early in the womb and treated promptly, can change a child's future. Therefore, establishing a specialized medical fund in this field not only means supporting treatment but also demonstrates Phenikaa University Hospital's long-term commitment to protecting lives and accompanying Vietnamese families. "

The Chairman of Phenikaa Group and the General Director of Phenikaa University Hospital presented the appointment decision to Dr. Nguyen Thi Sim to assume the position of Director of the Fund.
According to the establishment decision, the "Phenikaa for Children" Fund was created to provide non-refundable grants for medical examination and treatment costs for children and those in difficult circumstances or unable to afford them. Those eligible for support include: pregnant women with high-risk pregnancies or rare and difficult fetal abnormalities; children with congenital heart defects or severe neonatal diseases; infertile couples; as well as those at risk of genetic disorders or who have experienced multiple failures in assisted reproductive technologies. Specifically:
For high-risk pregnancies and cases where the fetus has complex pathologies requiring specialized intervention, the fund supports the costs of examination, diagnosis, consultation, fetal intervention, surgery, and follow-up treatment as prescribed by specialists.
For infertile couples and families at risk of genetic disorders, the fund provides access to advanced techniques such as genetic testing, gene sequencing, embryo screening, in-vitro fertilization (IVF), and other modern assisted reproductive methods, contributing to improved chances of pregnancy and healthy childbirth.
For newborns and children under 6 years old with severe neonatal conditions or premature birth requiring intensive care, the fund supports neonatal resuscitation services, intensive care, and health screening and monitoring programs in the early years of life.
For children with congenital heart disease, the fund provides comprehensive support, from screening and fetal cardiac intervention to specialized postnatal cardiovascular treatment, with the guidance of a team of experienced cardiovascular specialists.
