Belonging to the fantasy genre, "Four Seas United" is adapted from the novel "I Have Three Arrogant Dragon Childhood Sweethearts" by author Yi Dai Xue.
The film revolves around the life of Nan Yan (Jing Tian). While embarking on a journey to achieve immortality to save her mother, Nan Yan inadvertently forms a bond of shared hearts, becoming husband and wife with Ji Yang (Zhang Ling He).
Despite having contrasting personalities and disliking each other, while researching Nam Nhan's mother's illness, they inadvertently become entangled in a conspiracy of the Immortal Realm.
The screenplay was written by Fang Jiangjiang, the screenwriter behind the success of "The Unhearted Sorcerer." Meanwhile, Cheng Ziyu, famous for his project "Mountain and River Order," took on the role of director.
On the afternoon of July 31st, the producers of "Four Seas United in Unity" announced that the first four episodes will officially air at 0:00 on August 1st, which is 23:00 on July 31st (Vietnam time), on the IQIYI platform. On the Mango TV platform, the series will air half an hour earlier (at 23:30).
Despite the anticipation, with behind-the-scenes images of the couple being praised for their chemistry and the trailer's intriguing content, the producers' announcement of a late-night screening time has left viewers questioning its suitability.
However, the media suggests that this is just the film's initial test, because if the content is good and the acting of Zhang Linghe and Jing Tian is harmonious, the film can still be successful.
Previously, during the film's promotional event, Jing Tian revealed that she felt a lot of pressure standing in the same frame as Zhang Linghe, partly because he was so much taller, and partly because the film had many scenes shot in the desert, making it difficult to set up a platform to stand on.
However, to reduce the height difference and ensure his gaze was level with his co-star, Zhang Linghe thoughtfully dug a small hole in the sand beneath his feet to stand in. This gesture was highly appreciated by his senior co-star.
Meanwhile, Zhang Linghe praised Jing Tian, saying that her skin was so fair that she didn't need a reflector during filming.
