The film's title itself encapsulates the content, encompassing the role and position of the General Political Department in directing Party and political work in the army.

Over the past 80 years, the General Department of Politics has continuously promoted the achievements that generations have worked hard to cultivate, continued to uphold political mettle, solidarity, and determination to overcome all difficulties and challenges, and built a glorious tradition: "Loyalty, steadfastness; exemplary, typical; principled, democratic; proactive, creative; sharp, astute; united, determined to fight, determined to win", ensuring the Party's direct, absolute leadership over the army.

Our army was born from the people, guided by the Party and President Ho Chi Minh to grow to what it is today. Over the past 80 years, the army has achieved many great achievements through two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism and in building and protecting the country, in which the role of the General Department of Politics is especially important.

This meaningful and valuable documentary was written by People's Artist Le Thi; directed by People's Artist Luu Quy; Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thu Dung, Director of the People's Army Cinema, took on the role of Production Director and Editor; cameramen: Bui Van Truong - Do Trung Quan; editor: Nguyen Manh Tung; sound: Dao Thi Hang - Le Ngoc Chien; music editor: Tran Tung; graphics: Ninh Vu - Manh Phong; editors: Tran Hai Ha, Kieu Manh Phong.

The film is about politics but through the eyes of the artists, it gives viewers new and subtle approaches, allowing them to feel the growth of the army and the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

Nowadays, under the direction of the General Department of Politics, political agencies at all levels in military units also have many innovations in political study and ideological activities. Many creative forms of teachers, from preparing lesson plans, making video clips to visual learning, make it easy for the audience to absorb, which are also important factors, brought into the film in a flexible and profound way.

Director, People's Artist Luu Quy shared: "Based on the outline and completion of the script, we were approved by experts as well as responsible authorities for the content about the growth and development over 80 years of the General Department of Politics, of the system of people working in the Party and political work in the army, both in wartime and peacetime."

"Collecting documents, or live recordings, are also carefully and meticulously selected. Regarding documents, Army Cinema has more than 60 years of recording the activities of generations of leaders as well as the activities of officers and soldiers throughout the army. It is only necessary to choose appropriate content to convey the maturity and growth of the Army in general and the General Department of Politics in particular to viewers," said People's Artist Luu Quy.

He also shared that, regarding the live filming, the crew selected activities of key units in the General Department of Politics, along with activities related to the training process, implementation of Party work, political work in military branches, military services, military region commands, army corps and even soldiers in border and island areas... historical sites throughout the country, thereby conveying to viewers the most authentic view.

During the production process, the film crew encountered both advantages and difficulties. The favorable factor can be said to be the script that received attention from leaders at all levels through comments and edits. Experts highly appreciated the quality of the documentary, the work has high educational value, serves well the propaganda and orientation work... helping the entire army and people have the most objective view of the formation and development process of the General Department of Politics over the past 80 years.

The army's overall achievements are numerous, the film crew had to select typical events to include in the film because of time constraints. Despite the difficulties, the entire crew always kept in mind: We must try our best, select materials to build a complete film that contributes to spreading the glorious mark of the General Department of Politics over the past 80 years.

Through the film, the audience can see: The Party has great confidence in the army because the army gathers an absolutely loyal team, a team ready to sacrifice for the Fatherland.
